He’s washed but I’m still sad as shit to see Bess in another uniform. A proper Indy legend who’s gonna have his number retired.

ST1 in the books. The good news: Seattle goes 9-6 and no injuries. The bad news: I forgot to turn off 7-day lineups from the playoffs and my rotation was all messed up. Hamada got five starts. Stokes got one. Etc.

The Pilots were rather active in free-agency adding SP Dusty Borchers ($5M, 1yr), OF Dave Maldonado ($2.5M, 1yr) and a number of players on Minor League deals with Major League Options (Dave Teel, Zhi-huan Bao, Pat Bice, Akiyuki Kimura and Roman Grogan). Borchers fills a huge need as a innings eating, durable, lefty. With the departures of Hisanobu Maeda and Hidekazu Mizoguchi to FA, we were desperate for a RH OF, insert Maldonado. The minor league guys are just back up plans at this point.

Its seems we avoided the injury bug this sim which is good. The bad news....seems most did also. This usually means next sim will be a death everywhere on the injury front.

Just how it generally plays out.

We lost our "Iron Man" reliever for 5 weeks. So, hopefully that's our injury to start the year.

Besides that, the results on the field were meaningless but good. Our pitching was very good and if they can maintain anything close to this level during the games that count we will be in good shape. Still need some of the hitters to shake off some rust.

Picked up a couple names that should not be on minor league deals. Glad they finally took my offer.
