Decent bounce back sim for Pawtucket, but still hate seeing us blow easy wins the last game of the week.

We get Sandy Perez back this week and hoping he helps our duct tape rotation.

Thanks Brad! Great to wake up to rookies, the sim and utility all updated.

Seattle went 1-2 vs. Batavia and 3-1 vs. Denver. Now just two games back of the Bock. Big series next week against division leaders Windy City.

Old man SP TJ Broughton strained his shoulder and will miss a month. "Next man up" in the rotation is our theme this year. We have now started nine different pitchers. This weeks debut was from Joey Schultz, a 32yo lefty who signed on a minor league deal. He went 6IP, 2H, ER, BB, 7K vs. Denver in a 2-1 win.

Down in the minors, international discovery prospect (#11) SP Danny Ley made his Triple-A debut: 5IP, 4H, ER, BB, K in a 9-2 win. He's only 21 but has expected majors for awhile now. He might get his wish by years end.

          Another 'meh week in California...

More importantly, it looks like our draft went fairly well...
#2 overall Brendan Santoro showed up at #41 on the top prospect list
#3 overall Logan Jacobi showed up at #30
          Some of our other picks...
#10 overall Alwan Hidalgo showed up at #11 on the California top prospect list
#30 overall Brevin Guo showed up at #27 on the California top prospect list
#24 overall Carter Pulley showed up at #28 on the California top prospect list

Overall, California currently ranks as the #4 system in the BLB!

Another long year is on store, but next year we'll have Montreal's 1st round pick, and Baltimore and Wilmington's 2nd round pick to go with our own first and second.

Hopefully there is slowly going to be a light at the end of this tunnel!
