Seattle posted it's second straight 4-2 sim and second sweep (3-0 vs. PHI) of the year. The Pilots are still 7 games back in the Bock and 4.5 back in the Wild Card, but playing our best baseball of the season. The shuffling in the rotation and bullpen continues. The two losses this week were to #2 and #6 SPs in baseball.

Unfortunately we had a major injury to RP Pat Reeves. The 29-year-old is one of the very best RPs in the BLB universe, extreme ground ball, 99 MPH and 80 stuff (with an 80 changeup). He spent the last nine months on the shelf with a torn labrum and then tore his rotator cuff in his first rehab appearance. The silver lining here is that I learned something. You in fact CAN get hurt in a rehab stint. I previously thought otherwise. Was it worth losing Reeves for another season ending injury to learn this information? I'll let you decide.

5-1 for the Bulldogs and it looks like we might actually be the real deal, at least as a regular season team this year.

OF Dusty Janson is on pace for one of the more dominant seasons in Bulldogs history already with an IL leading, 18 home runs on the season. Janson has never hit more than 23 home runs in a season.

As a team we are Top 5 in every major offensive statistical category, but the most surprising performance this year has to be the starting pitchers. We were dead last in most pitching categories last year but this year, we currently hold the best starting pitcher ERA in the IL. Pang Shuai leads the line with a 2.63 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 150 ERA+.

          - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
          - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
