    Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 1-2 @ Baltimore and 3-1 vs. California. Had our first SEI to a player on the active roster in SP Ron Valentine. The 27-year-old lefty was on pace for a 3.4 WAR after a 4.1 WAR last year. He's fragile and now with a torn rotator cuff to recover from, on top of a project arbitration stamp of $7.5M, he may have pitched his last game for the Pilots. We did sign 39yo RP Dave Harmony, who himself is recovering from a torn rotator cuff. Not sure what he has left in the tank but with only three weeks left in his recovery, he felt like a nice insurance pick up in case we had pitching injuries down the stretch.

5-2 for the Bats. We've been playing better since changing managers. I'm not sure if that change was the cause, but we're 24-12 since Manny Ochoa took over as our manager. We were 9th in the IL in runs scored when I made that move. Since then, we lead the league in runs scored. We had a +18 Run Differential in the 75 games managed by DJ Gallager, and we're +63 in the 36 games since he was given the boot. I'm skeptical that changing managers was the only reason, but my players are starting to perform like i was expecting from the start and we now lead the Stout by 7 games.

Dave Theisen is now finally recovered from the torn meniscus he suffered in the first week of the season. I'll probably send him on rehab to AAA this week to knock the rust off, but he'll hopefully be back in the rotation after that. For now, Pieter van Westen is also healthy and in the rotation. Hopefully I'll finally get my full strength rotation for the stretch run.

I gave a spot start to rookie reliever Tom Vaughn this sim, and he delivered with 7 innings of shutout ball, giving up just 2 hits. I don't think he has the stamina to pitch in the rotation regularly, but he's been really good in his short time in the BLB so far, giving up just 1 run in 22.2 innings pitched. Not bad for a former 7th rounder who's been anonymously pitching in my system since 2025.

Another 'meh sim in California... We play Seattle tough, but end up losing anyway... This offence just doesn't do anything unless Morla is rolling!
