5-1 for the Bats, winning every game of the week after dropping the opener against California. That locks up the Stout and HFA throughout the playoffs. We've been in this position before, but hopefully this group is finally the one that brings the Brew to DC for me. We were very good at home this season (60-21), so maybe that will mean something in the playoffs.

After giving up 6 runs in the first game, we only surrendered 8 more runs the rest of the week. Pat Arballo has shaken off a rough stretch and put together a fantastic September and Dave Theisen joins him on the Who's Hot? list. Rookie Jamie Breed was a September callup and has done well in his outings.

At the plate, Dave Davidson had a big week. The sophomore second baseman is going to lead the team in RBI and is up to 23 HRs. I've got high hopes for him, so hopefully this is him developing into a star.

We finish the season with six road games, at Baltimore and at Philadelphia. With nothing to play for, it would probably be wise to rest some players. I'll try to do that while not letting anyone get rusty since we'll be off for the Wildcard Round already.
