  • Problem

I can't access the file because my GM password won't work. I never changed it and every time I enter it, the game says it's invalid.

I bet Gremades changed it. That bastard.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this or not, but a FICTIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER (I feel like I have to stress that because everyone's so obsessed with talking shit on him) cannot change a password to a computer game.

chippered was having the same problem earlier today. Not sure what's going on. Is everyone having the issue using v9.2.10 of ootp?

I finally got mine fixed. Your game has to say "9.2.10" in the lower left hand corner after you load a league. Even after un-installing and re-installing using a newly DL'd OOTP file, I was still getting version 9.2.2, so they seem to be having some problems over there.

First, download the file from this page:

                  http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-released.html

Next, extract/unzip it into your OOTP 9 program folder in your C: drive.

Then, you have to open the game using the shortcut located inside your C: drive program folder. I pinned it to my start menu so I dont have to go searching for it everytime. That SHOULD work.

I messed with this for hours earlier today, with andrews help, and for an hour or so tonight after class, so I've done a lot of steps. Hopefully thats what I did to fix it.

If anyone has problems, let me know and I'll see if I can help.

                  EDIT: fixed link

Yeah, OOTP 9 has been a tough go thus far. I've never had such a problem with any other OOTP in the past, but i'm sure since this is the first year away from SI they are having some coding problems or something.

I fixed my password problem by downloading the league file from the owners forum. I think what created the problem was that I loaded the sim in game with the old version of OOTP and for some reason I couldn't get in once I updated to 9.2.2.

You were able to open the BLB game with 9.2.2?

Up to the point in which it asked for my password. Then I got the message "wrong Password". Now I have to make all my changes again though but I guess there are others with bigger problems than that one.
