    Thanks Matt!

Seattle and Denver split the two-game series and then proceed to take 2/3 from Phoenix and LA, respectively. So, no change in the Bock standings.

If the playoffs started today, I'm not even sure who our #3 SP would be, or #4 for that matter. We brought in veteran SP Tom Pryor at the deadline for help in the rotation and he's had a velocity and control drop on September 1st. SP Pat Goldsmith threw one of his better games of the season this week (6.1 IP, 1 ER @ PHX) but he's so terribly inconsistent I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with him and his 6-ish ERA starting a playoff game. SP Eliot Paul 80 pitches in a game just three times this season and most outings he barely gets out of the 4th inning. Rookie Tom Sellers has pitched well in relief but as a starter he's pitching at replacement level (0.1 WAR). My only other "SP" who is post-season eligible is 28-year-old Jayden Howell who in four BLB seasons has a 0.3 WAR in 131 IP and has just two starts on the year.

The bullpen is one of the best in the league but my only two reliable starting pitchers rarely get passed the 6th inning. Combined with the questions at #3 and/or #4, they are going to have to be near perfect for Seattle to make any noise in the post-season.

Oh...our Rookie League team is trying to defend their 2030 title.
