    Seattle Pilots Report - ST1
    ---

The Pilots tied with two other teams for the 3rd best record in ST1 at 10-5. Not that the outcomes really matter but of the five losses all were by three runs or less. Luckily the two injuries to 3B Johnny Swope and RP J.R. Keen were both just day-to-day. Besides that nothing too exciting to report. Probably going to give more rest to the 25-man "locks" in the second half of Spring Training.

In transaction news, the Pilots did scoop up a few FAs on those "30-day if promoted" minor league deals. The one I'm most excited about is former Batavia catcher D.J. Scott. He's never rated very well but the switch hitter has good HR power and a decent arm behind the plate. He somehow had a 3.8 WAR in just 418 PA in 2029. With the departure of McClelland, Scott will compete in ST2 and for 30 days in Triple-A as a potential platoon option.

Around the league, some unfortunate injuries already. And that Morris guy is leading all hitters with a .484 batting average.

Avoided major injuries. TURELL looks good despite not being on the Top Players list anymore for some reason. Lots of things happening on the edge of the roster.

I lost BJ Johnson for 2-3 months. It's a big loss for my bullpen, but thankfully we're pretty deep out there. He got hurt last ST too, so maybe I should just sit him until April from now on. No one else got hurt, so I'll be ok if we manage to make it out of ST without losing anything more.

New signee Fenton Soto was our star. Our new closer pitched 11 innings, striking out 20 batters and walking none. I'll be expecting more of that once the games start to count. It's a great first impression for our big money signing.

The Top Players list reshuffling gives us six players - 3 hitters and 3 pitchers. Bert Garza and Rory Smith are new additions on the hitting side, while Payette has reappeared on the Pitchers list after a down season.

No other team has more than four.
