      Thanks Matt!

Seattle has their worst sim of the year going 2-4 and losing both series at Denver/New York. On top of that 2B Hideki Nakayama had a seven game suspension. On the bright side, we did finally agree to terms with C Landon McClelland (1-year, $4.2M, prorated at $2.3M). He was huge for us last season after we signed him in April. He posted a 3.2 WAR in just 107 games. I'm not sure why he wasn't scooped up yet but we are glad to have him. My top three catchers are all righties....and none play defense like the lefty McClelland. We spent our entire remaining budget to get him and couldn't have landed him without a few of our BLB players getting claimed via waivers.

My rookie league team went 6-0. Break up the Cleveland Bobcats.

4-2 week for the Bats, winning both our series this week. It's big for us to win the series in Baltimore, as we bounced back after losing the series opener in a blowout. We won the close games this week: Played 3 extra inning games and won all of them. Thanks to the lopsided losses, we were outscored by our opposition this week but still managed to put up a good record.

It wasn't a great week for us statistically. Bert Garza was our star hitter (.333, 3 HRs) but he picked up a concussion and is DTD for the next week. It's a "moderate" impact to his skills, so he might be headed to the DL or at least certainly the bench. No one in the rotation was dominant, but we got good starts from Arballo and Ono.

We now head out on a 13 game road trip. Unsurprisingly, we've been a significantly better hitting team on the road, so hopefully the bats can heat up in some friendlier environments than our park.

I thought single A roster has been 30 not 28... did that change when we instituted the Rookie League?

            • Add Rookie league with age cap of 21 and roster limit of 28 players.
              • Rookie league will play shortened schedule starting after the draft is entered.
            • Change A level roster limit to 28 players.
            • Remove A level age cap.
            • Eliminate the option for college players to leave early so that all college players play three years instead of sometimes leaving after only two.
            —-

Did something go wrong here? Weren’t college players players supposed to play 3 seasons?

I'm not sure about this rule but they are still doing two. It's set to have them eligible to leave one year prior to max with the max being 21. So they leave at 20.

I noticed something funky with the Highschoolers ages and time played in highschool, don't remember the exact details, but it was like they were leaving highschool too soon or something, I'll look again later.
