  • Does Popularity Change?

Does a Player's Popularity Change? And does anyone know what the factors are?

I ask because of a case like Nate Magness... #1 overall... fast tracked in the minors.... pitching really well.... basically an Unknown.

Yeah, it changes. I've seen it in solo leagues. Not sure what changes it, but I think time and performance. Avery was above average or whatever before he was even called up, as is Knight.

Yes. Remember when I traded you Murcott for Latham and that bum pitcher? I took the bum pitcher cause he was extremely popular at the time. At the start of the next year he was 'Unknown'.

That's classic...a guy who's extremely popular in Viriginia goes somewhere else and is unknown. That speaks for itself.

At one time Joe Ponte was extremely popular in local and national popularity. Now he's only "fair" in the nation's eyes. We still love him in Carolina though.
