Well the only good Intl signed to a team that didn't surprise me.

44 million to a guy who has never pitched an inning Pat?

Wish we only showed POT ratings only and not actual. These signing would never happen.

IFA's come with a bit of a risk but I thought SP Pang Shuai was worth it. After letting SP Enrique Bernardi test the FA waters, I had a huge hole in the top half of my rotation and with Teel/Seymour in as RHs, getting a southpaw was the biggest upgrade I could make to a a 112 win team. It's probably not the best approach for every team, but the only players of significance I lost this off-season besides Bernardi was rental catcher Landon McClelland. According to the Top Players list in Triple-A, Gustavo Castelo and Dusty Reger, both Seattle catchers are #1 and #2, so I didn't really need to bring in another backstop.

Had Shuai not shown up in FA, my plan was just to play the waiting game on the SP class and go get Bernardi, Carroll, Dominguez, Carrasco or Stone. The signing means Teel will not be back in 2031 and we will basically run back the same roster again.

If Shuai was basically any other position or even a RHSP, I don't think I bid. I needed a LHSP and I got extremely fortunate he showed up as an IFA and my bid was higher than the (I'm sure) many offers he received.
