    Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 4-2 (1-2 @ Den, 2-1 vs. DVS). Some close games. Could have easily put together a 5-1 week but just as likely 2-4 or even 0-6. Played from behind in a lot of games. All-Star rosters announced! Seattle sends eight to the game just like the 2001 Seattle Mariners...

I think the most impressive thing about Seattle's season is the defense. It's amazing how much better this team is with the addition of the DH. The Pilots lead the league in defensive efficiency at .720.... no other BLB team is above .701... And with the loss of 1B Robby Caddell for the year, I actually think the second half will feature an even stronger defensive team.

REMINDER: This is a short BLB week. Plan accordingly.

    Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
    Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Philly goes 5-2, with the two losses happening in extra-inning affairs @Carolina (one of those a 17 inning marathon in the 2nd game of the week).

The offense put up 43 runs over 7 games, and slashed .307|.369|.444|.813

UIF Micah Overturff got more playing time than usual with us facing a slew of LHP this week; he delivered 7 hits in 19 ABs, including 2 HR and 6 RBI.

Pitching staff was pretty strong as well, posting a 2.59 ERA and a 55|22 K|BB ratio

Joey Kopp picked up 2 W's in his 2 starts, going a total of 14 IP, while striking out 13

Good to see Pat Moore get back into the positive side of the ledger. Earlier this season Moore had an 8 game W streak, followed by a 7 game losing streak. Hopefully this is the start of another W streak.

Old man Franklin Ramires tossed a CGSO in one of his starts this week; it was the first SO of his career. Has to be close to the record for oldest pitcher (38 yo) to throw his first career shutout.

They really are good... Not quite sure why California is not way better in this department... We return three DWI winners, switched out Morla for Danny Rodriguez at 2B and have Reilly Thomas (+14.0 ZR) last year patrolling centre field... We've allowed 68 unearned runs... Yikes!!

The good news is Efren Prestianni has been pitching like someone you would trade a top 5 pick to move up one spot for...
In his last ten games he 4-1 with an ERA of 2.09 and hasn't allowed more than three runs... Now if he only threw just a few more strikes, we'd really have something!

Tony Solorio ranks 8th in the IL in defensive efficiency, with Bourdon coming in much worse. Morla in the 12 games at 2B has been bad, Rodriguez in the 12 games at SS has been bad, Micah Cox in the 7 at CF poor, and Jaden Bunch has some of the worst range in RF in the BLB.

It's a long season. I'm sure your numbers will come up.

Yeah... The ball really seems to find my backups when they are playing out of position... Bourdon was actually supposed to be my defensive catcher (60 C with 55 Ability and 65 Arm). He's been a disaster in that role!

Tyler Tammany. I offered him a long term contract only to see him head to Flushing.

No. I fired my AA coach 2 (BLB) weeks ago and got ready to sign Tammany as his replacement, only to see him go to Flushing (AAA).

Oh... That makes more sense... I was going to try to poach some of Pat's coaches... They're fabulous, and need a shot to manage in the great state of California!
