With Seattle's first pick, acquired in a trade with Washington, the Pilots select SS Pat Holes out of Mater Dei HS. He hasn't received the accolades of teammates JJ Murphy, Ed King or Ron Hallman, but my scout really likes him. He's only 16, and has a long ways to go but he projects to be quite the fielder with a little bit of pop for a SS.

Now, while I wait for my next pick, 3.24, I will use the time to come up with a clever nickname for the draft pick.
