We went with big potential in Ed King... Interested to see the next few players off the board... We had a few others guys that we liked!

Went with 2B Ian Melnik...typically avoid HS prospects in the 1st round but my scout thinks he's going to be a beast.

Hartford selects SP Jimmy Burcham. My scout is pretty high on him. Number 1 rated pitcher in his eyes so I'm thrilled we are able to snatch him up.

Denver takes CL Johnny McCullough from UCLA with the 11th pick.

I realize this is an unusual pick for the 11th overall pick. However, I wasn't excited about anyone else and I think it's still important to have yourself a potentially great relief pitcher with great character. Maybe a round or two too early, but I think this is an area of need and it's a quality player.

CF Manny Padilla at 13. Overruling my scout on this one, think he can be a really good all around outfielder.

I was hoping he would fall to 16

Good pick. My only concern his health, but there aren’t a lot of two way switch hitting CFs.

Damn, he couldn't make it just a few more spots. Nice one Z.

Kinda wanted Vess so I could make a Sheck Wes/Mo Bamba reference, but it wasn’t to be. Wasted opportunity.
