The secret weapon is unleashed. Dave Grubel swung at the first BLB pitch he ever saw and hit a home run.

    His BLB debut. .529/.600/1.412
    4 HR, 7RBI, 3 Doubles. 0.5 WAR

    Welcome to the league.

Chris Lemus continues his second half onslaught. 12 HR. 30 RBI in September. Second POTM this season.

Team is on a roll. Now we need to hang on. One game under .500 and one game up with a week to play.

Pawtucket making a very late run at the Ale, but unless Maine chokes this off and we go crazy at home it Pawtucket appears to be a road team in the wildcard round.

On the plus side we've been playing better on the road of late. Offense after oh 140 games is appearing a bit more balanced righty/ lefty. Will if help come playoff time? Not sure.

Seattle goes 3-3 while resting starters but still manages to have two injuries. Luckily, both day to day, with one happening to a player who might not even make the post-season roster. The Bock lead is at six with seven left to play... three of which are against Death Valley. It would take an epic collapse to lose the division but it is possible.

The other three divisions and wild cards are up for grabs. Pretty exciting final week ahead.

5-1 for the Bats as we continue our strong play. Unfortunately it wasn't good enough, since Philly went 6-0 to close the gap to just one game in the Stout with a week to play. Given that they are at home for the final week and have 3 sure-fire wins to start off the next sim, it's going to be tough to hold them off.

Ron Thornton continued his hot hitting. I thought he had a shot at Rookie of the Month for September but it wasn't to be. He hit .387/.459/.694 (1.153 OPS) with 6 HRs and 17 RBI for the month, so still not too bad. He's certainly made his case to be our everyday RF. We also got good weeks from Yonke, Alexis Moran, and Josh Allen. Moran's also been a bit of a surprise for me. He's a solid player, but I never expected 21 HRs from him in a season. Power's never been a big part of his game before.

On the mound, everyone but Ed Carroll pitched well. We gave up just one run in five of the six games, but Dropkick gave up 4 in his start and we lost that one. Dave Theisen finished September going 2-0 with a 1.44 ERA, 29 K's to just 4 walks in 31 innings. The former #1 prospect is starting to look the part.

We finish up the season with a full week of games. 3 at home against New York before traveling to Carolina for a 4-game series. We'll need a strong week if we want to win the Stout.

              LEAGUE WIDE REMINDER/WARNING!

This is the last sim to call up someone from the minors to start their BLB clock and $280k salary who are set to be a Free-Agent. Every, single, year, teams don't take advantage of this and lose a good minor leaguer for nothing, who they could have retained by just calling up to the active roster. Guys like Turrell Morris, TJ Corbett, Bradford Segreti all come to mind.

For example, I'm calling up SP Jayden Howell. He's unwilling to re-sign for a minor league deal and is asking for $420k salary over three years to re-sign. By moving him to active roster, I retain his rights at $280k.

The day to day with status unknown are somewhat annoying, but the guys with actually lost time injuries who at first say "2 weeks" but then drag on longer with the status unknown are the ones that make me want to scream. Each sim it "is he back?" then you see RED still. UGHHHHHH

Ok, I know we get some amount of random in the finances , but how is it Batavia has 4 million more in Merchandising ??? I don't even want to get started on why Indy is ahead of us. Can't be team history and unless they are over 90 for fan interest I'm clueless as to how merchandising year over year is such a struggle with us?

Is it our fan loyalty ?? (currently good) Market is HUGE (like my dick)

Any ideas how to sell more shirts and caps?
