      Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 4-3 (1-1 WC, 1-1 PHX, 2-1 CAL) while giving the regulars a bit of rest. The Pilots have won just five of their last 11 games but have somehow increased the division lead to seven. The utility has the Pilots at a 99.8% to win the Bock and Death Valley has all their remaining games on the road. Now the decisions between rest vs. rust for the final two weeks.

In transaction news, we signed 1B Andy Ulloa to a minor league deal. After four months in Miami's minor league system and just four plate appearances, I figure I'll give something for the fans to come out and see in the last few games.

A lot still TBD in the Ale, Lager and Stout, as well as both wild cards. Should be an exciting final two sims. Possibly a Lonnie Coleman or two. Good luck to all remaining teams! Also a lot to be decided in draft order as #TankFest2028 continues.

We're 3-19 in September but gain nothing since I've traded my 1st round pick. I guess my other picks would be higher, but for a smaller market team, I wouldn't risk tanking for higher draft picks and lose revenue and piss the fans off. I tried something a couple sims ago and let my manager set my line-ups and rotation thinking he knows better than me and it would give us a push, but nope, it has been worse. I just brought up a few AAA guys in hopes that does something.

The injuries keep piling up but we're still on our way to winning the Ale. Just hoping to make it to the postseason now without losing any more key pieces.

            We're down:
            1. Our All-Star catcher
            2. Our closer who won Pitcher of the Month for May.
            3. Our starting second baseman
            4. Two key starting pitchers
            5. A young corner outfielder who'd be an important pinch hitter

Not to mention all the other injuries throughout the year that derailed various players' seasons.

That's pretty rough. Testament to your depth that you have been able to maintain the Ale lead. I've said this before but I actually enjoy the adversity/tough decisions when players do miss time.

Fortunately for Seattle, most of our BLB-level injuries happened in the first half and our two worst months were April, May and we started June slow. Knock on wood, but the only player on my 40 man that will miss the post-season is my #4 SP (and #2 LHSP), Ron Lenzini. I've been very careful this year with often a 6-man rotation, pitch counts, defensive replacements and regular rest for our starters....but sometimes there is just nothing you can do.

Your split with us should be enough to hold on to this sucker.

Pawtucket 5-2. We can go on small runs, but we just don't have that type of team that can go on that big run like years past.

Still once we shorten the pitching rotation (assuming we can make it) I think we can least compete with most in the playoff teams. Having 2 lefties might also prevent teams from setting that 7 day lineup.

Or we just get bounced early. Really does feel wide open this year.

6-1 week for the Bats. It's a great result that sends us back into first place. We won both games against Philly and now sit 2 games ahead of them with 2 weeks to play. It's going to come down to the wire, but we put ourselves in better shape with this week.

It was one of our better hitting performances of the season. I've been really surprised (in a good way) by rookie RF Ron Thornton. In 120 ABs since his call-up this season, he's hitting .342 with a 1.077 OPS and 12 HRs, 32 RBI. He's really given us a spark, moreso than I could have anticipated. I wasn't that excited when I brought him back up (compared to Garza and Lisch), but he's been our star for the month he's been in Washington. It was a really good week for my lineup, including a lot of the young guys who now make up the core of this team.

We still lead the league in runs allowed, so the pitching is continuing it's good play. Rookie Dave Theisen has come on strong over the past month with a 1.93 ERA in September. We lost Ron Osborn a few sims ago, but the rest of the guys have picked up the slack. It was a gamble to bring him in and it didn't really work out for us.

Hopefully my young guys can keep up the good play and we can finish the season strong. Maybe we can even surprise and win a series in the playoffs if everything breaks our way.

Denver goes 4-2 but so does Baltimore and we remain in a 2-game standstill. Who blinks first?

Everyone is doing it and doing it well, it seems. My scout felt that Dusty Janson reached his original potential that I thought had been lost, and Janson is showing just that.

We're going to make a surprise promotion. I didn't think I would do it, but I think these last two weeks is the perfect time to unleash what may either be our secret weapon or a costly mistake.

I don't know. He gave us about 6 good starts, which has to be on the low end of outcomes. Obviously he was an injury risk, so it's not a huge surprise but I was hoping to coax more out of him than that. As for the playoffs, he's injured until then, so I won't get another look at what he's got beforehand. It didn't go so well the last time he came off the DL, so it'd be a gamble to just throw him back in against a good team in a bigly important game.
