Couldn’t have gone much better for Seattle. 3-1 vs. DVS, 3-0 vs. PHX. Now in 1st place by a half a game. The Bock looks like it will come down to the final week.

Excited for roster expansion. Going full 40 with a few rookie debuts and a couple AAAA types I’ve been stashing in the minors.

Swept DC in AAA playoffs. In AA-A, down 2-3 in both series.

5-2 week for the Bats and we're back in first place, a game ahead of Philadelphia. It looks like it's going to be a battle until the end in the Stout but unfortunately we only have 2 games remaining against the Freedom so we won't be settling it head to head.

Pretty good week all around for us. We hit .316 as a team, led by Josh Allen hitting .600 for the week. He made his first All-Star game earlier this season and is going to lead us in WAR this year. Looks like he might be turning into the star player that my scout has long promised. Not bad for a UDFA. Ron Thornton has also been a big boost since I called him up 3 weeks ago, hitting .316 with 5 HRs and an OPS over 1.000. He had a really good week and looks like a guy who's taking control of one of my corner OF spots for the stretch run.

Pitching is still our strength, no change there. Ron Osborn was tremendous this week. 2 starts, 2 wins. 16 IP with a 0.56 ERA. He also went 3/5 at the plate (.600/.667/.800 slash). He had a couple of rough starts once he was activated but he's been really good ever since. Likely just needed some time to get going after the long injury. Dave Payette pitched a complete game shutout, he's having a good year.

Looking ahead, we're on the road for the next week against Batavia and Baltimore. We're going to need to play well to hold off Philadelphia. With my AAA team eliminated, I might make another call-up or two, switch some things around. We look like a "pitching and defense" kind of team for the stretch run.

BradZ can we stop the 1st of September for call ups and then finish the week the day after? Back to back SIMs?

Nope, we won't be doing that. You still have 5 full weeks of time for any callups that take place on the 4th in game.

Can we at least send you some instructions for the 1st?

That requires he stop the sim. I doubt he does that.

It will be fine. It's just a couple days.

You will have 33 games available to you with expanded rosters. That's 20% of the entire schedule. If there's not a compelling reason to make that 33 games -> 36, we're not jumping through hoops to make it happen.

                      REMINDER!

We are NOT stopping the sim on September 1st for roster call ups! Therefore, if you want anyone to be PLAYOFF ELIGIBLE, they have to be on your 40 man this sim.
