    Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 5-2, losing two 1-run games of the four game series with Phoenix, then swept the three game series against Windy City. The Pilots now lead the Bock by 1.5 games. Thanks Denver!

Rookie catcher Dwayne Boyles won IL Player of the Week. He's really turned his season around after hitting .161/.444 as of June 9th. He is now at .292/.877 after a week where he hit five home runs and had 12 RBI. We did suffer an injury as Ron "Mailing It In" Lenzini has a moderate day to day that will send him to the DL.

4-3 week for the Bats. Split 4 against Carolina before winning 2/3 in Philly. We've got a 6-game lead in the division now, so that's good. I'm thoroughly unconvinced by this team right now, but we're in good shape if we can start to hit the ball. Every week we have 2 or 3 regular players hit about .150 or less with no power, just killing our offense.

The news for the week for us is that FA signing Ron Osborn is now fully recovered from the injury he suffered as a Philly player last season. He's still #18 on the Top Pitchers list, so hopefully he can give us a boost after he gets a couple of rehab starts in AAA. We have the best starters and relievers ERA in the league right now, but adding Osborn won't hurt.

In the minors, Ian Lisch won AA Player of the Week. My scout loves him and he's hitting .360 so far this season. I'm unsure why he's so lowly ranked on my Top Prospects list, but he's probably better than some of the guys I've got in my BLB outfield right now.

Well Ethan Beyer had a little hang up at the team psychical so he didn't play for us this week. Regardless not sure he would of mattered in our 17-2 mishap on the road. Still,my scout really digs Ethan. Kid is only one season removed from a 22hr season. We will see what we can do with him.

Pawtucket 2-5. We will lick our wounds and move on. 3 more games on the road and thats it for now. That makes 30 games at home and 50 on the road? What insane schedule is this???

So the Bulldogs go just 3-4 this week. However, we do end with a 20-7 in June, winning more games in the month of June than in April and May combined.

We powered our way to this record with an IL best, 38 homeruns in June, led by IL's June BOTM, 1B Bruno Damours. The 23 year old Toronto native hit .395 in June with 12 home runs, 21 RBI and 23 runs scored. He's currently rated as the best first baseman in the BLB and rumor has it that the Bulldogs are working out a deal to keep him in Baltimore for a while longer.

Damours was not the only Bulldog to win an award. Fellow Bulldog, RP Ron Kleinman joined Damours by winning the IL Pitcher of the Month Award for June. The 32 year old hurler picked up 11 saves in the month to go with a 2-0 record and 0 earned runs allowed in 13 IP. Kleinman is always pretty amazing to me. I rarely have RHP that pitch this well in Baltimore, and definitely not those with low work ethic, low intelligence and low leadership. But for whatever reason, Kleinman loves it in Baltimore and has made losing Carrasco not sting at all.

I don't think we have another 20 win month in us going forward or enough in the tank to catch Washington, but I can see us maintaining a few games over .500 every month now and making a push for the #1 WC.

I can see the intricacies of not having a DH really make a difference for the Bulldogs!

Cookie to DH and Fiano to RF? I can live with that.
