    Thanks Brad.

    Bats signed lefty pitcher Pat Beseman. He'll have a role at the back of my rotation, particularly against lefty-heavy teams.

    I believe that this sim is the deadline for setting your Scouting/PD budgets (they'll lock once ST starts).

      Well missed in few targets, but very happy with what we brought to Miami, they should start right out of the bat, now time to search for a decent SP in the trade market to anchor our #3 / #4 spot
      Miami Sharks (BLB)
      * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

      Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
      * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

        Ok this is the part of the game thats crazy. McDade , a rental just signed a 20 million deal (Really kind of crazy btw) and even though he played for just a few months crashed my fan interest.

        He's obviously on his last leg and most likely get released mid season after having a 5.63 ERA, but still just not cool.

          This has been discussed at length, especially on the slack. The popularity system is flawed although improved from previous versions. I'm sure Pawtucket received a fan interest boost when you traded for him. So it only makes sense that your interest would take a hit losing him, even if a rental.

          McDade isn't the flame-thrower he once was and has actually been declining since March 2023 according to my scout. In those five seasons that followed he's had a WAR 5+ including a 5.9 last year which is the third highest of his career. His velocity has dipped again (and his control) this off-season but I think he's a safe bet to be California's best SP this season. Even at 40 years old, he's still extremely popular and an ironman injury proneness. He's also switching to the IL where he will play in more pitchers parks and get to face weaker lineups.

            Actually was like 2pt increase. Wasn't much. The drop was far worse and that's what bothers me. My biggest increases are always re-signing and winning. We're still at 85 fan interest and I'd actually be more ok when Douglass signs since he played with us for 3 seasons. Mind you when we signed Douglass we didn't get any bump.

            McDade will be lucky to still be in baseball by mid-season. He may have risiduals first 3-4 starts but the writing is on the wall.

              He's going to be a lot better than Dave Baldwin....and cheaper, more popular and iron man vs. wrecked injury history.

                  McDade has already paid off... 9 points on the fan interest and 42% increase in expected attendance... Too much money, but we have a staff of really young prospects to mentor (is that a thing in OOTP), and hopefully he can give us two decent years (3rd is a team option), and then the young guys are rolling!
