Thanks Brad! Had an early morning and the sim was perfectly timed.

Seattle needed a miracle and didn't get it. A 5-1 week only gained us two games in the Bock so hats off to umd and Death Valley for winning their first Bock title 2019 and clinching the overall #1 seed! The real bummer was losing RP Tom King for the next 1-2 weeks with a day-to-day moderate injury. Combined with last weeks loss of closer Ian McManus, the Pilots might be without their two best LHRPs come Wild Card round.

Still quite a bit of excitement for the final week. The DL has seven teams contending for four spots in the WC and the Ale division. In the IL, Philly is battling Davenport for the final Wild Card spot. And in the race for HFA, Washington and Los Angeles still have a reason to play the final week because of a potential Brewmaster's matchup.

Lol, the IL has 5 teams and then a bunch of others. Parity be dammed.

Pawtucket 2-3. Didn't export last sim due to being so busy. September not our finest hour, but somehow still holding on to the division. Going 4 man rotation and riding McDade & Kaufman this week. Why not? We still appear to be in the playoff money if we have a respectable sim. Walling coming up for one week to see if he can boost this sad, sad offense.

Good week for the Bats. Went 5-2, clinched the Stout title and got to 100 wins (101 now, actually). I didn't think this team was really going to be this good when we started the season. The past two years we've struggled and didn't really seem to add a whole lot. Then we lost 2 of our top starting pitchers pretty early in the year. Somehow it's still all come together for us and we've been a really pleasant surprise. The young guys have really helped us in a lot of spots this season, hopefully pointing to a bright future in DC.

-Ed Carroll started twice this week and won both games. Last year he lost out on the Pale Ale seemingly because of his pedestrian W-L record. That shouldn't happen again this time around. He's now 16-6 on the year and has the IL lead in a lot of important pitching categories, including a pretty big gap in WAR. Dropkick should soon be a seven-time Pale Ale winner. His next scheduled start would be in game 162, so he's likely done for the regular season at this point.

-Jamie Nickerson hit .500 (on only 12 ABs). He's been a big boost for me since being called up. .940 OPS and 47 RBI (T-2nd among IL Rookies). Had he been called up earlier, maybe he'd be a serious New Brew Candidate, but he's been important for us. Looking at the leaderboard, the top 3 rookies in the IL in RBI are on the Bats (Josh Allen, Jayden Alexander, Nickerson).

-Alec Aymond has exceeded any expectations I had for him. I picked him up as almost an afterthought in free agency, and he's been very good. .831 OPS, 17 HRs, 3.1 WAR. Solid defense at both first and third base. I'm not really sure where he fits into my future plans, but if this is his only year in DC then he's been great. First base had been a weak spot for me for years, but between Nickerson and Aymond platooning there, 1B has produced a .324/.401/.534 slash line with 27 HRs and 95 RBIs. It's been my most productive position, seemingly out of nowhere.

-Tom Pryor has pitched three really good games in a row, hopefully getting into a rhythm prior to the postseason. Between Pryor, Aymond, Dante Elliott and Marco Rosaro, all of my free agent signings are making me look smart.

With us locked into the #2 seed, it's probably going to be a rest week for the Bats to finish the season. I've got a lot of young guys on this team right now, so they'll get the bulk of the playing time to finish out the season.

Well 92 wins going into the final week isn't bad, but with the look of the IL this year, this really does not "feel" like a 92 win team. While I don't bet against my boys, it isn't far fetched at all that we are bounced out of WC round by Batavia. I'm sure to see heavy does of Brooks, Ball, and Cinelli so we'll see how it goes.

We'll probably rest all of our big guns at the plate and then sit all of our relevant starters, to hopefully avoid any injury mishaps in the final week of play.

I'm very happy with the play of rookie SP Josh Benjamin. As a right hander, it can be tough to play in Baltimore, but he's been up to the challenge with a respectable 3.39 ERA and 3.7 WAR with over 200 IP on the season. I called it early that he could win IL New Brew and he's got a good chance of achieving that.

It is also nice to see that the performance of 2026 IL New Brew winner, Robby Adelsberger was not a fluke. The 23 year old former Sooner standout is dangerous against both LHP and RHP, on the road and at home, and has likely played himself into a Top 3 finish for IL Stout Slugger.

Looking forward to getting these playoffs rollin!

I really wanted Nickerson, one pick before we settle for Jaime Middaugh, who had a very nice call up in September before getting hurt... running the bases!

I thought for sure we were done and then we go 5-0 last week. A lot of my guys have really stepped up. Hoping we can have another strong week to somehow sneak into the playoffs.
