Well 5-2 week and now right back in the WC conversation... It's nice to be playing meaningful baseball yet.

Started the sim 0-3 then lost my closer to an undetermined amount of time. Death Valley has pretty luck locked up the Bock and Seattle continues to struggle.

Really Pat? Just had to stick it to us with Teel playing 1B and hitting 2 bombs.

He's my best 1B on the roster.

Officially eliminated. Pretty pathetic of the IL to have a 90 loss team eliminated this late into the season.

Now that we are officially out, we will experiment more with lineups and the staff. Lots of disappointing faces in this clubhouse. Might release a bunch of people this off-season.

A losing sim? Getting swept in a series? Neither had happened since the second week of June, but we went up to Baltimore and got whooped. Division lead is still 7 games, so it's not a disaster and we'll have the opportunity to rebound against the Bulldogs when they visit DC next sim.

After a promising first few starts, Dave Theisen has gotten shelled in his last two games. Not terribly surprising, but I was hoping he'd quickly prove to be a guy that might make my playoff rotation. Not so sure that's going to be the case.

It was really poor week for my hitters as we only managed to hit .202 and scored just 13 runs. Looks like we're rounding into postseason form a couple sims early.

On a positive note, Marco Rosaro has 4.6 WAR on the season. By that measure, it looks like this is probably the best season ever by a reliever in the BLB.

Coming up - a full week of games, including the 3 against Baltimore. A good week could see us clinch the Stout, so that's what I'm hoping for. I don't want any part of a Wildcard series.

And that's all she wrote for our run for the garbage #4 WC. Pitching really let us down this year- well you know what our priority will be this offseason.

Good news is that Pat Schick looks like he'll be ready for next year. We have pretty good SP- the bullpen was a dumpster fire for a little bit.

I love that he finally did it. I've been badgering him for two seasons.

Teel playing the field is the excitement we've been waiting for.

                          Almost as good as Teel.

I'm inclined to believe he's pretty good based on the stats. But, he plays on a DL team and doesn't win a lot of games, so it's tough. Could he do it in the IL?
