The Bats went 5-2 this week. Combined with a little bit of help, we've stretched the division lead to 9 games. It's looking pretty good as long as we don't fall apart. One more good sim would almost do it, but I'm not counting on anything just yet.

We managed to win this week despite Geoff Yonke going 1/20 at the plate. Usually that kind of performance from our star gets us a 1-5 week, but the rest of the lineup picked up the slack. Josh Allen, Ron Hammond and Jamie Nickerson were big at the plate for us, as well as Dave Schneider. I've been kind of disappointed with Allen so far this season, but hopefully he's starting to turn it on late. I think he could be a really big player for us. My scout loves him.

It was a pretty high scoring week of games, so my pitchers weren't great. Ed Carroll had a good start. Hopefully he's positioned himself to win another Pale Ale after being snubbed last year. Rosaro is still doing well, I have to imagine he's got the Last Call pretty much locked up.

One piece of bad news - Tom Roseboom is injured again. He's often injured these days, but usually I know how he got hurt. He's now just picking up mystery injuries sometime in between games. That's three years in a row he's found a way to get hurt at this point in the season.

Next sim we've got 3 at home against New York followed by a trip to Baltimore. Hopefully we can keep up the good play.

Nice to see my top 100 prospects have great debuts...

CJ East pitches 8 strong innings against Pawtucket for his first BLB win!
Efren Prestianni threw a QS of six innings for a ND against Pawtucket!
1B Jamie Middaugh ended his first week going 5 for 9 with 3 RBI!
CF Riley Thomas went 0 for 8 and got hurt... again!

All in all, not a bad first week in the bigs for the young guys.

And, oh yeah, we keep winning, and bugging up our draft slot!
