Another 4-2 week in Washington. Swept Windy City before losing 2 of 3 to Death Valley. Good week for us as we gained a game on our division lead. We went 42-12 in July and August, just an unbelievable run for us to put ourselves in position to fight for a division title. I didn't think we were really any better than last season, but we've already surpassed that win total.

Geoff Yonke won August Hitter of the Month. He didn't do a whole lot this sim, but he was red-hot for that month, the second time he's won the award this season. Ron Hammond and Tom Roseboom were the hitting stars for the week. I couldn't find a trade partner to move Hammond in the offseason and it's probably a good thing he's still around since he's putting together a good season in his platoon at 3B.

Dave Theisen had his best start yet, going 7.1 innings and striking out 10 against Windy City. It wasn't really a good week for my starting pitchers, but the bullpen picked up the slack, throwing 21.2 innings and only giving up one run. Rosaro keeps doing his thing at the end of games. Garret Martin has been a big surprise for me as my main lefty reliever.

Looking ahead, we only have games against our division rivals for the rest of the season. We'll start with a full week of games against Philadelphia Carolina and Batavia this week. It'll be tough, but I'd like to keep a solid division lead before we play Baltimore next week.
