We lost a starting pitcher for 5 weeks. Well thats just crazy!! Lol, luckily we have 3 hot starters and Einhorn & Baldwin comes back this week. Between our 7-8 fragile starters(Thank god for McDade) we will figure this out.

Pawtucket 5-2 including taking a crucial 3 out of 4 against SYR on the road. We finished the what should be considered an insane 18 days straight without a day off going 12-6 on this stretch. Who schedules this?

Lets see if we can continue this roll into August. This is not a pretty version of Pawtucket by any means, but were still fighting for the division.

We are really bad but somehow keep gaining ground for a playoff spot.

Go figure. It's like the Pilsner again!

In a week full of low scoring games, we went 4-2 to continue our run of good play. We won both series, home against Batavia and at Philadelphia, keeping us in first place in the Stout.

July was easily our best month of the season so far, as we went 20-5. I've mentioned several times how good Rosaro has been for us, and he was rewarded with a Pitcher of the Month after a completely dominant July. We use him a lot - he appeared in 5/6 games this week - and I couldn't ask for anything more from him. I was very happy with how all my pitchers did this week - we had a team ERA of 1.36. It looks like back of the rotation guys Payette and Ray could be solid pieces for us. They were top 100 prospects at one point, but it's been a slow start for both of their BLB careers. Maybe they're figuring it out now.

The pitching made up for a poor week at the plate. We only hit .240 as a team, only scored 15 runs as a team. The one bright spot was Jamie Nickerson. I called up the rookie about a month ago, and he's been better than expected. In just 21 starts, he's put up a 1.073 OPS with 7 HRs.

Looking ahead, we've just started a streak of 20 straight days with a game. That'll be a big test for us. Coming up next week are 4 games against Carolina followed b 3 against Baltimore, all coming at home.

Solid sim for us including taking 2/3 from Baltimore. We remain -9 in Pythagorean record so hoping for a correction now. We are now 1 GB of the last wild card spot and hopefully will be able to take a hold of that position soon.

BTW as a complete n00b can someone tell me about Slack? Obviously the league banter is still something I want to contribute to going forward and it seems like a good chunk of the league is using it now.

Slack is basically a group chat (with multiple topics/channels) that you can access via app on phone or on a website via computer/html.

It is fairly active. You can send direct messages as well. It’s basicakky the forums but “live.”
