        That short sim was fun.

My backup catcher Ron Fleig won DL Player of the Week by hitting a walk-off pinch-hit two-run homer off Zachary Chandler Saturday night and then starting Sunday's game and going three for three with two walks, two homers and five RBIs.

Thanks Brad! We are somehow holding down a wild card spot.

We have a team with Mike Morla, a guy in Webber maybe getting to 50 home runs, a few really good young players (Redding, and Fiume), yet my fans continue to stay away (although slight bump lately) and my owner slashed another 2 million off of next year's budget... Nice!!

Seattle goes 4-0 vs. New York coming off the All-Star break. Unfortunately, we lost flamethrower RP Pat Reeves to a labrum for the rest of the year and my stash in AAA extra slugger OF/DH CJ Viger broke his kneecap and will miss the year as well.

At the midway point the playoff teams in the IL look almost a near lock. The seeding is up for grabs but besides maybe the 6th seed being up for grabs due to injuries in Philadelphia, it's hard to see DVS, SEA, BAT, BAL or DC not making the dance. While in the DL, it's the complete opposite. Besides LA at 60-32 and maybe New Orleans at 53-39, nine teams are separated by just a few games. Should be fun to watch.

I believe "spark plugs" were only created in our switch to OOTP18. I'm not sure how many seasons we are in on this version but I believe there are none in the BLB or minors. They should emerge soon from the feeder leagues.

There are sparkplugs now. I've seen a few floating around.

Good month so far for the Bats. We're not blowing any doors off, but so far it's working out by simply getting to the late innings and bringing in Rosaro to bring us to the finish line. He's been money for us all year. It didn't work out as well when the IL team decided to pitch him for 4 innings, but he's having a great, great season for us. We're 19-5 in one-run games, so it's probably going to be difficult to sustain, but we've put ourselves in a good spot.

Dave Taylor continues to play like a star. Pat Arballo is starting to come on strong, while recent call-up D'Andre Gulley has been good out of the pen. I like what I've gotten from some of my young guys.

I think it happened last sim, but I'm also really happy to get CF Justin "Ant" Babbage in international free agency. I don't have any experience with these guys, but OSA and my scout are big, big fans of this guy.
