Ugh, my 2nd game with Virginia was god awful. Up 1 in the top of the 9th, we allow 2 unearned runs. In the bottom of the 9th, we have 1st and 3rd with nobody out, then bases loaded with one out, and we fail to push a run across. The last two batters struck out. Pitiful.

Still, we go 4-3, and jump into first place. Gugs had a terrible week, but McVean is starting to prove he may be the real deal.

The Stout is ready to reclaim its place as the best division in the BLB.

3-4 sim, not great but not completely terrible. We our giving up the most runs per game in the IL... and with Caramillo out for the season I really don't see that changing much.

                Virginia Colonials - Week 3

                6-1
                1-1 @ Wilmington
                2-0 vs Washington
                3-0 @ California

                THE GOOD
                - I pretty much called my shot on this week when talking about the characteristics of my opponents. Said Washington would struggle with "The Skull" and simply does not get xtra-base hits this season. Magness took his second impressive win over the Bats... and they only had 3 XBH in the two games series. Said my guys should be able to tee-off on Cali pitching... and I did. They tee'd off on mine in two games as well... but I'm ecstatic to get a sweep from my 4/5/Spot Starter out west. Also... as I said.... Wilmington is good... lucky to get the 1 I did... luckily Carlton has been dominant in the 9th so far this year to slam the door.

                - Joe Arrendondo had the game of his life this sim. He goes 7.0 with 1 hit... 1 ER... 6K's and 1BB.... but that's not all.... kid went 3 for 3 at the dish. I had an offer into him this sim on an extension... I have a feeling this game may have boosted his asking price a touch.

                - Alberto Hernando is finally waking up and took IL Player of the Week honors. Kid was a machine this week. He had 8 DOUBLES! Dude was finding gaps everywhere!

                - Joshua Poling continues to look like the real deal... 3 more bombs... and has boosted his average to .367 (3rd in the BLB).

                THE BAD
                - Frank Dallyn has not been good. 6 ERs and 2.36 WHIP in his 4.2 innings of work this week. He'll get the ball in Game 1 against Los Alamos this week and really needs to start figuring things out.

                - Rookie slugger Jerry Tracy fractured his thumb against Washington and will be sidelined the entire month of May. With no clear favorites at AAA to come up and fill the void. We'll likely see Brian Greenham move to RF

                THE UGLY
                - My minor league system has talent... but they are not good team. Brutal records from top to bottom!

                - I've been the owner of this team so long that I know that as nice as this sim feels.... it's all an illusion.

If nothing else... the games are always fun.

And... hey... I've got a 1.2% chance of winning the Wildcard according to the Playoff Odds app. That's the first times my team has ever regsitered.

Well if I didn't have to play Maine, I'd be much better. 3-3 sim so not too bad.

Malachi Stiver turned it on this week with 3 home runs.
Adam Nickell continued tearing the cover off the ball hitting .333 last week.

The bad, Eires got hurt for 1-2 weeks, at least its not 5 months.

The odd, my closer is leading the team in Wins. That's not a good sign.

I'm curious, Clay, has Virginia ever had a 6 game winning streak?

The SEIs are out of control. We lose our setup guy and one of our only legit relievers Zhi-qiang Ba for the season. We also lose 2B Frank Rancourt for two months. That's great.

We did have a 5-2 sim, which is nice. Split the two game series in the division and then swept Hartford. We could have been 6-1 but the surprisingly now unreliable Pat Reardon blew a two run lead and Dallas won in 10 innings. Roger Willis, who honestly probably isn't ready, will step into the lineup while Rancourt heals up.

I'm sure we have had one (maybe).... that's the first 6-1 sim I can remember in a LONG time (if ever).

The most interesting thing about MacCabe's 5 month injury is that the database OOTP is supposedly using doesn't allow fractured fingers to generate an injury longer than 90 days.

Now I'm wondering where the hell the game is getting these injuries from.

I forgot what happened during the rest of the sim.
