Pawtucket drafts 2B Frank Hernandez. Wasn't really in the market for a 2B, but really couldn't pass this guy up any longer hence the trade for future picks.

Scout has him as 60-75-60-45-30, but OSA at a 50-75-50-70 and looking at his stats I tend to agree more with OSA. Kid has a nice range which is needed for 2B in todays game. Speed is good.

Batting .372 ave/ .550 slugging......yeah this is why I love the second round.

We still have a late 2nd also to address some other needs. Our warboard is rather full to be honest.

Thanks Shark for the deal. I'm sure this will benefit you long term as well.

Washington selects CF Ian "Viper" Lisch with pick 2.17.

He had a big year at the plate, hitting .372 with a 1.147 OPS and 16 homers. A two time NCAA All-Star, he improved in almost every stat in his second season after having a solid first year.

I think he has the potential to be a solid all-around player. Both my scout and OSA give him pretty good ratings at the plate and in the field. I think he should be ok in center field. If he doesn't quite cut it there, he should be very good in either corner spot.

Outfield is one of the weaker spots in my system, so I'm happy to grab a guy that I think could be a really solid player.

Liked Lisch in this spot. Of course Washington grabs him. This is not good for the rest of the BLB.

With our first pick of the draft, the Bulldogs select UCLA Bruin, SP Fred Smith. Smith won the NCAA 2026 Outstanding Pitchers Award and is a 2X NCAA All-Star. The kid has elite stamina, can hold runners on the base paths, is projected to have 5 quality pitchers, and of course, a lefty.

I'm very surprised he's still here so maybe my scout is wrong about the multiple Pale Ales?

With our first selection in the 2028 draft, Denver takes C Jonathan Mason out of UCLA 3.14
                                http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...ayer_5383.html

We had Mason just behind Washington's pick of Cape Cod catcher Kaden Crunchy Gaston.

Mason projects to be a power bat. My scout does not see him as a strong contact hitter though OSA disagrees. I think his current average of .269 in UCLA leans toward Bishop's opinion. But we do love his .364/.562 OBP/SLG line. Hoping he can keep developing that power and eye. One thing is for sure, he will have a good glove which best fits our goal up the middle.
