Wow. I was going to complain about the Einhorn 5 week injury, but then I saw the rest of the BLB. I'll shut up.

9-6, no major injuries. Few bumps and bruises but nothing to complain about as Funclown said. Not sure how my roster will shake out at this point. A few backup positions up for grabs on the depth chart and the pitching staff is really up in the air. Just hoping to be healthy more than anything.

Pour one out for CL JP Lawrence. One of my last DC draft picks, 47th overall in 2011. I remember my scout LOVED Lawrence and I was really surprised he was available in the late 2nd. With his career ending at 34, probably only gets a spot in the Hall of Very Good but he had quite a run there for a couple years.

Oh and I saw that SP Dave McKay decided to take a minor league deal to play for Hartford instead of Seattle on the same deal. I guess he held a grudge after we declined to offer arbitration. He's a fringe BLB player but over the past five BLB seasons he was a nice spot starter and long reliever. He will be missed.

6-9 start for the Bats in ST, but not worried about that. We're teaching a lot of new positions and getting some young guys some playing time in the hopes that it'll help them get ready for us sooner. Unfortunately, we did lose Ed Carroll to a 5-6 week injury. Thankfully it happened early enough that he'll only miss about one week of the regular season, meaning we'll miss out on a couple of starts from him. But, it's better news that I've gotten the past two years, when I've lost guys like Villasenor, Calligan and Moran for long periods of time. That'll probably just happen during ST2.

FA acquisition Alec Aymond went 0/19 at the plate. Another genius decision from me.

Aymond doesn't take the bat off his shoulder.

He's only supposed to be here for one year, filling in around the infield at 1B/2B/3B. I'm not going to freak out about one bad half of ST, but with Jamie Nickerson hitting .431, the clock is probably already ticking on Aymond.
