Pawtucket captures its 16th Ale division. It took forever, but we finally caught Maine for most division flags!! #neededagoal

Interesting enough Pawtucket has been in 2nd place only 8 times in its history.

League history: For the first time ever the #1 & #2 top payrolls will NOT be participating in the BLB playoffs.(It might of happened in the late 70's?) Nice. Goes to show its not all about spending...though I think the version change has more to do with it now.

Honestly don't think were much of a championship team. Were playing poorly right now. We have pitching maybe and thats about it. Luckily the DL field is about as weak as we've seen since the dark days of Clay. Really could be any team right now.

In the meantime, happy we finally hit our goal.

Yeah that blew. Misguided attempt to win some more games at the end of the season.

Well my backup OF aren't complete bums but I don't think I've seen such a weird string of injuries. When this team is healthy the OF will be fun to watch. Actually, Tom Lyon is due back from the DL sooner than those guys now. Next year these guys need to stay healthy.

Should be a fun series against Washington- unfortunately we are going against Ed Carroll who we did beat twice this year. Hard to do it a 3rd time.

In a career filled with unbelievable numbers, Mike Morla put the finishing touches on perhaps his greatest season to date...

He finished the season batting 0.376, with an OBP of 1.055, and for the first time ever cracked 40 home runs. He also provided above average defence (5.44 range, +3.1 ZR, and 1.011 efficiency) at second base.

In the entire BLB, he led in AVG/OBP/SLG/OPS/wOBA/Hits/TB/RC, and for the eighth straight year finished in the top 5 (three firsts, and three seconds) in WAR.

He currently sits 5th all-time in the BLB at second base in home runs, 8th in RBI, 9th in SB, 4th in WAR, and first in BA and OPS.

And... He still has four years left on a contract that sees him make a team friendly $20 million a season.

You should have traded that bum. He'd look good in LA with Brooksher.
