Wow all this IL talk! #DL10IL3

I've said it all season, this is Seattle's year. Way too much top tier talent and that usually counts come playoff time. Yes, yes I know OOTP gets weird so I get it.

In the DL, I really think any 6 teams (actually 7, one wont make it) have a fairly good claim to the pennant. Every team is flawed, no one elite.

        Team Flaw
PAW - Lack of top tier hitting talent
        IND- Overall offense
        PITT- Starting pitching
KC - Stale roster/ core (yes it does happen)
        WILM- Lefty tilted offense (Balance)
        TOR- Softball team (Defense)
        LA - Overall pitching

Ratings wise, possibly. But not the way we're playing. Outside of Yonke, the whole lineup has gone ice cold. We're 12-24 in our last 36 games. It's probably the worst stretch for a Bats team in many years, I'm guessing.

Carroll, Goldsmith, Arballo and Calligan make a top 4 that can stack up against any contender. The luxury of having two RHs and two LHs also helps for any potential matchup.

Add a bullpen of Chandler, Rico, Hammonds and Raymond, also two RHs / two LHs, will help to keep the games low scoring.

Plus the DC park, solid defense, some speed and Geoff Yonke...

The Bats are a serious contender.

I’m sure Seattle will be the favorite to enter the playoffs but this is a flawed team.

Probably the worst defensive team in the playoffs. The bullpen, outside of Rosaro, has been poor in the 2nd half.

We have also been padding stats against Windy City, going 17-1 against the Blues.

My starting pitchers have all just crapped the bed this year. Amazing. Swartwood is almost at a 5 ERA, and Lambert isn't far behind. Both guys were sub 3 last season.

Defense? Whats that? So far the defense ratings aren't mattering much in the DL.

From a zone rating stand point ONLY KC has a positive on the season for the 7 playoff contenders. 3 have an abysmal .670 EFF.(Ale teams)

In fact , not sure this is a DL record but here is ours for the season:

                  DL .984 pct/ .679 def/ -291.2ZR (total not average)

Not sure the DEF is a new low, but that zone rating has to be. Thank god we had Maine and Miami or else this would of been horrid.

It appears we can catch the ball still, but we just can't seem to get to the ball??
