Yeah... they exist in every league... the guy i pointed out in that thread is already on a BLB team... and as expected he is raking at the next level... but with nothing else besides singles to back him up.
Feeder league or not... the guys are in our universe.

In a thread I saw somewhere they were writing about 6-2-2-2-2 current rating guys, who go right out of high school and hit .350 in the bigs or something like that. As I recall, they also wrote that quite a few of that type seemed to get created soon after feeder leagues were created with less later on.
Marcus said he would look into it and fix it eventually but I think that we should at least wait until he does.

I think the problem is with fictional player creation in general, not feeder leagues.

Here's a thread that points to feeder leagues as the issue:

However, it's only one user and I haven't seen a lot of other complaints about this.
chippered, care to test?

What exactly do you need me to test for? I should have time later tonight and earlier tomorrow to do some testing, and can get some results by the afternoon.
I do agree though with some of the others. Just having our scout to go with isn't enough for me. I want to see some stats so I can have another determiner.Last edited by Ryan; 12-11-2008, 05:15 PM.

I'd like to see a few years of a league with feeder leagues and look for hitters in the draft that have high contact ratings (and/or potential) but few other qualities, like Adrian Acosta. Probably better to test with scouts off.
If it seems like a high number, maybe try comparing it to an identical league with feeder leagues off.
