It's nice to see that Healey has remembered how to hit again.

Another shitty week and we lost our third good young pitcher of the year to a serious injury.

It's so much fun to watch Edmunds blow game after game with absolutely baffling pitching and infield defensive decisions... If I wasn't so afraid of the fact that the players all like him, he would have been turfed many, many sims ago!

4-2 SIM to follow up a 4-3 SIM. Let's see if we can catch up with the .500 mark to finish the year.

Well lost a series to Carolina but then took 2/3 from Batavia which is no small task

Josh Wright is shaping up to be a superstar. He's off to a fantastic start to his career. His BB/K ratio is outstanding for a rookie. I did not plan to play him this year but the injury to Tom Lyon forced my hand.

Looking at some of the things that are holding us back and it's pretty clear the front office has been asleep at the wheel for a bit this season. Honestly, no idea how we're above .500 based on #DerelictionOfDuty. Big changes coming this SIM. #ThatsAStopSignColin

3-3 week keeps us in the same spot we were at to start the week, tied for the division lead. We blew a 9th inning lead against the Bulldogs to spoil a great Carroll start and cost us the series, but we rebounded with a series win against Philly. The back end of our bullpen had a shaky week, but our starters were excellent for the most part. Two good games from Dropkick and a complete game win from Arballo.

Yonke and Carroll were awarded Hitter and Pitcher of the Month for July, so our stars are doing the heavy lifting and they're going to have to keep doing that.

Calligan's rehab stint in AAA went fine, so he'll be joining the rotation this week. I still think I need to add a good hitter for the stretch run, so if you've got one send me a PM and maybe we can work out a deal.

Well it took til his 30th bday , but this is J.D. Einhorn I was expecting when Spear traded him to us.

Pawtucket 4-2. I didn't get my export in time, but hey it worked out.

Douglass still out, but allows SS Finlay to take a few at bats at the BLB level. See how it plays out.

3-3 for the week and we end the month of July with 17 wins. We lost Stripling again, this time a bone bruise on his now, problematic right hand. This last injury has moved the needle enough to move him from "normal" to "fragile" so we're going to have to be very careful with his playing time going forward.

Although August hasn't started as well as as we would've liked, we welcome the challenge as this is the month the makes or, more often, breaks our quest for the Stout title. Looks like we are in our usual August form dropping two of three in Carolina.

Everything isn't doom and gloom in Baltimore. 3B Robby Adelsberger earned his first ROTM Award for July. The 23 year old, North Carolina native posted an impressive 1.081 OPS for the month going 35/84, 2 doubles, 5 home runs, and 12 RBI. Robby has separated himself from the pack of offensive contenders for IL New Brew and will be a strong candidate for the award.

The days of facing the weaker teams in the IL are only in the past now and going forward, pretty much every team we face is a contender for a playoff spot.. Should be fun to watch what happens.

                            - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
                            - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
                            - Brewmaster's Cup: '01
