My team continues to amaze me... We allow almost 20 runs this week with two out, and get another half a dozen guys thrown out at home plate... It's enough to make your hair turn grey watching these 3D replays!

Oh yeah... And my manger's timing for paying the infield in when it makes no sense whatsoever is astounding!!

        THANKS BRAD!

Seattle goes 4-3 (1-2@CAR, 3-1@PHI) and the Bock lead is 11. The pitching and defense continues to drop in the IL ranks but this lineup might be the best I've ever had.

The biggest news of the sim for the Pilots was the finalizing of SP Ron "Mailman" Lenzini's $100M contract extension. He seems to be over performing in a contract year but I didn't want to let him test free-agency. It's a bit front loaded with a player opt out followed by a team option.

As expected, we go 5-2 with a couple of bullpen collapses that prevented us from going 7-0 for the week. I noticed that our owner (or whoever controls it, as it isn't the GM anymore) has moved our focus from "Neutral" to build a dynasty. Seems like someone has a bit of confidence in us.

OF CJ Stripling made his triumphant return and as much as the team needed it, I think 1B Bruno Damours has benefited the most. Damours now has a LOT of protection with Stripling hitting behind him and it showed as the 21 year old hit 8/15 with 2 doubles and 5 walks last week.

Former Oklahoma standout and current BLB rookie, 3B Robbie Adelsberger is maintaining a strong push for IL New Brew with another nice week. The 22 year old has a .921 OPS and has 12 home runs to go along with his 26 BB and 39 RBI. He outplayed everyone and is now our everyday third baseman. The kid is outstanding both on the road and at home and is a big reason we are still in the race for first midway through the season.

Another strong performance this year has come from 25 year old hurler, SP Joey Schulz. Schulz doesn't look like much on paper but he gets the job done. The South Carolina native has gone 27-11 since his rookie season in 2025 and looks poised to be a big contributor to our success going forward. He is currently 10-2 with a 2.98 ERA and a 132 ERA+.

Now 14-7 in July we've guaranteed ourselves a 4th consecutive month above .500 but now it is time to get back to the gauntlet. We are currently tied with Washington for first place and we host the Bats next week then head out to Carolina for 3 against the Tobs.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
          - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
          - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
          - Brewmaster's Cup: '01

5-2 week for the Bats as we keep pace with the Bulldogs for now. Lost two extra-inning games, including one in which we gave Ed Carroll nothing for run support. We got to take on the Bock this month (and avoid Seattle and Death Valley in the process) and it's been a good time for us. We're playing pretty good ball as we now head back into Stout games.

Ron Hammond looks like he's found a groove at the plate. We were getting absolutely nothing from the third base position prior to this, so it's not a high bar he has to clear to help us out. Thankfully, Omar Baber has also picked it up this month and Yonke looks to be back to his normal self.

There were no setbacks for Tom Calligan, so he'll likely head for a rehab assignment this week before re-joining the rotation. We've managed to piece together a solid rotation without him, currently leading the IL in runs against but Calligan should be a nice addition for us if he's close to his prior form. We've been leaning heavily on Carroll and Goldsmith so far, and they've both been fantastic.

Story of the Denver franchise. Pitching is doing well. Hitters can't hit. Next month: vice versa.

              Welcome to 70-win territory.

Broughton's trying to get the attention of contending teams with his most recent performance. 9IP, 4H, 7K, 1BB. CG SHO. Still on the trade block for anyone interested in a solid SP!

Speaking of trades, what's the deadline? I just looked at the rules and it still talks about waiver trades, so I have a feeling the date listed in the rules isn't right.
