5-1 to close out the first half of the season and we are atop the Stout at the break. We’ve had a really good year so far despite a few key injuries.

We sending 4 players to this year’s All Star Game including first time All Stars, OF Alistair Whaley and OF Dave Sliney. Had Stripling not gone down last month to injury, it would have been popsicle that our entire staring outfield would have been selected.

Facing Denver and Phoenix last week we posted a 2.17 ERA on the mound and a 1.001 OPS at the plate. We posted double digit run totals in 4 of the 6 games last week, scoring 54 runs, stealing 8
bags, and blasting 13 home runs. If only we could face these two teams more often.

We have allowed the fewest runs (not ER) in the IL this year and we are just 4 runs behind Seattle in runs produced. All of this has been accomplished with Stripling and Parham on the mend for a good portion of the first half of the season, so I really can’t be upset about anything right now.

The game tries really hard to have representatives from every team.

                          :)

We set it up years ago that every team gets an All-Star.

                              His .299 / .355 / .545 / .901 line against RHP deserves that All-star call regardless :)
