This is getting stupid. Lofink down for 5 weeks and now add Calvert to the list of the walking wounded. Lofink has had a tough spring:
03/19/2026 Injured (Back stiffness), day-to-day for 1 day.
04/07/2026 Injured (Sore back), day-to-day for 4 days.
04/13/2026 Injured (Mild abdominal strain), day-to-day for 2 days.
05/01/2026 Injured (Sprained elbow), day-to-day for one week.
05/10/2026 Injured (Sore back), day-to-day for 5 days.
05/12/2026 Injured (Rotator cuff strain), out for 5 weeks.

Weird week. Got swept at home versus Indy then went on the road and swept LA. 3-3, guess it works. Pitt still hanging tough in 2nd place right now.

We are now a balanced home/ road team so that good.

Pilots go 2-1 @NY, 2-1 @BAT, both loses by one-run. This was the first time we played Batavia since losing games 6 and 7 in the ILCS. Ironically, in Game 3 of this week, went deep into extras like our ILCS Game 6. A 0-0 game into the 11th, Batavia ran out of pitchers and was forced to play catcher Dave Bartkus, last years ILCS hero, at pitcher. He somehow got through the 11th, but the wheels came off in the 12th, where Seattle went on to score seven runs on the young catcher.

In other news, SP Ron "Mailman" Lenzini might have just played his way into Free-Agency. This time last year, he was making $3.5M after arbitration year #2. All year, we tried negotiating but his price kept going up, so I figured I'd just let him go to arbitration a third time. His projection I think was $6-7M as we entered the playoffs. Instead, he ended up with $12M. He now wants a six-year deal at $20M per. I think we dropped the ball on this one...

          First winning sim, woohoo!
And Pat Bamford hits his first BLB dinger.

Maldonado appears to be playing on Easy Mode right now. At least I have that to enjoy.

And props to Funclown. Since moving Corey to middle-relief, he's been unreal.

Stupid OOTP... Morla about to set the BLB record for longest hitting streak and stupid Maine's manager does this...

"Anyone on a 35-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Maine manager Jerry Collins said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."

In other words, they decided to bean the selfish bastard and enrage him into charging the mound to end it... Nice!

Sometimes the OOTP engine really enrages me... Just sometimes!!

Just noticed my scout signed our first international free-agent. Catcher Danny Benegas, 18, comes from Guatemala and is known for his low work ethic. My scout thinks his potential at the plate is 25-50-25-55-30.

                What a great addition.

I've got two so far from places I actually needed to look up. Due to my scout's lavish traveling I just fired him.

We only had 5 games this week, but we won 4 of them. We lost the last one against DVS to end our 9-game winning streak, but we're playing pretty well right now.

Big weeks from Geoff Yonke and Ruben Jimenez carried the lineup, and we're suddenly up to 2nd in the IL in runs scored despite a slow start. Jimenez was an international free agent a couple seasons ago - he's been forced into the lineup every day at CF. He's not fielding it too well, but the bat is there right now. We also got our first Dave Blackmon sighting of the season after a really rough first month.

On the mound, Pat Arballo had his best start of his young career against his former team. He's still a work in progress, but hopefully he'll start to figure it out as the season goes along.

1-5. Worst sim of the season and have 3 hitters showing as cold. Hoping that doesn't last for long!

Which is why I always balk at moving the injury settings to normal...

Is it low now? If so it should be normal anyways.
