    Thanks Brad.
Another trainwreck of a sim. 1-5 and my BP gave up 8 runs in 5 games after the 8th inning.
    I'm sensing a pattern here.

Pawtucket perfect this week. Good month of April. Like the early string of winning streaks. Its a nice sign.

Douglass was back this week and really seems to fit well with Jackson in the middle IF. Not at all sure why SP Jon Jones is so dominant right now. Could be the version change.

Either way, THIS is what I expected LAST season.

5-1 sim for us and we sit at 17-8 on the season. Easily the best start to our season in a long time. The offense is clicking right now. The pitching should get better as the year progresses with Kauffman coming off the DL in the next few weeks. We have a ton of guys hitting balls out of the park right now- that will correct itself over the course of the year but its fun to see.

5-2, first winning sim of the season. Thankful for the calendar change, lol.

            Thanks Brad!

Seattle goes 3-3 this week including 0-2 @ Philadelphia. The team overall is 2nd in runs, 2nd in ERA and 4th in defense. Biggest surprise of the year is coming from C Garrett Batchelor. Last years FA scoop for $560k, is coming off an All-Star season and is currently on pace for 52 HR and 156 RBI in 136 games. He made $3M in arbitration and now projected $5M for 2027, likely to be much higher by years end. Sometimes you just get lucky with these things because if I ever thought he'd be an All-Star catcher, I would have signed him for a longer deal in FA when I had the chance.

Another surprise is how strong our bullpen is this season. I usually only have six RPs for the week but because all of them are 55+ on stamina, they are all able to throw an inning+ if needed which is a huge benefit. Seattle is 1st in RP ERA at 1.46.

At 17-8 we are tied with New York for the IL's best record but I have to take it with a grain of salt. The only team we have played with a .500 or better record is DVS (5 games) and we have already played eight games against the leagues worst team (Windy City). We still have yet to face NY, BAT, BAL or DC. We should come back to Earth here soon.

3-3 for the Bats. We managed to lose a home series to the reeling Blues, so I was kinda hoping for a bit more. We're probably not good enough to expect big things right now though.

Dave Taylor continues to be my surprise star of the opening month. Unfortunately some of my other guys, like Baber, Blackmon and Schneider are slumping badly to start the season. Need those guys to start playing like their former selves.

I didn't do a lot of minor league shuffling this offseason, but it looks like some of my young guys are progressing nicely in the development report. A and AA teams have the best records in their league to start the season and some of the guys in A-ball expect to be playing in the majors.

I've had my eye on Taylor since his early debut last year. He's hitting way above his head right now but what a scoop. Looks like a legit fielder, batter and runner. Rare these days at SS. He might run away with the IL Rookie of the Year and the field looks pretty good this year with Broadbent (SEA), Hoving (PHX), Watson (PHI), Adelsberger (BAL), Arballo (DC) and Seymour (SEA).

We are in 1st place at Triple-A and Single-A but struggling in Double-A (9-11). Our new manager says chemistry could be better, overall morale is unhappy and he has a bad relationship with nine players on the 25 man roster. This is the level with most of my "fringe" talent. Hopefully the draft entry gives these guys a boost in talent coming in from Single-A. However, historically, my Double-A team tends to be the worst year to year. I slow cook prospects longer than most and Double-A is usually the shortest stint.

Ream (.942 OPS) and Fisher (.892 OPS) might have something to say about this...

Fisher might. Ream isn't a rookie.

After finishing one game out of last... We added a ton of offence to a pitching staff that is marginal at best... How do they respond... With the best start in my tenure as Kodiaks GM...

19-7 and riding a 10 game win streak... Fun fact 1-5 vs. Dinos and 18-2 against the other five teams we've played!

The addition of veteran bats has really helped take the load off of the young guys and a lot of pressure off of Morla (A POW and a POM early in the season... Thanks Webber!).

Our pitching still sucks ass, but we are 1st in home runs and extra base hits and in the top three in everything else... Not sure this can last, but Yikes!

                        It's very nice.

I like how the game doesn't injure my players so as to help us avoid further embarrassment.
