what's the plan for guys that got claimed that didn't actually go? Not that I'm trying to, ahem, get rid of either of them, ahem, but need to know if I need to DFA LaRochelle or Schellevis.
Charlotte Knights - OSFL Syracuse Slammers - BLB South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up
The Good:
- Pitcher Charlie O'Rogan pitched the first NO-HITTER of the season against the Baltimore Bulldogs, giving up two walks while striking out eight. Charlie O'Rogan has now pitched two CGs, 18 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 6 BB and 21 K. Thanks again, Linty.
- Third Basemen Brody Whiteley is hitting .364 on the season after hitting .429 this sim. Thanks again, Linty.
You just have to keep twisting that knife into my heart, don't you? O'Rogan fucking quit on me... I don't care what anyone says, players sometimes just give up in their current city and for whatever reason do not play well until the next year, or until they are shipped to a new team. O'Rogan was one of those guys. He basically forced my hand in 1984. 0-8, 8.10 ERA, 40IP, 32BB/29K's. Now you tell me... do those stats look anywhere near his career numbers before, or after? The dude quit, or the game made sure he'd never make it in California. I left him as a long reliever but I thought the best move was to try and slip him through waivers so he could work on pitching in AAA... and you smartly picked him up. But don't act like I just randomly dumped the guy off to you.
As for Whiteley, Fitts has a better career VORP (25 in 46 games) to (15 in 186 for Whiteley), and is a huge part of my bullpen this year... with the potential to move into the rotation if need be. At best, that trade is a wash for you.
So no, you didn't steal people from me... nor did I randomly give up great talent. O'Rogan was cursed here, and in my eyes, Fitts has proven more valuable statisically than Whiteley has.
California Kodiaks - GM - 1982-2013 Brewmaster's Cups: 1987 Import League Champions: 1987, 1989
Porter Division Champions: 1986, 1987, 1989, 1999, 2000 Import League Wild Card: 2001, 2003, 2004

I wouldn't worry about it Linty. At the time Pat claimed him, Wahsington had the best record in the BLB, which means his waiver claim priority was dead last. Everybody screwed up on that one except him.
Nah, I'm pissed about O'Rogan, not because he's had success in Washington, but because he was supposed to be my future ace. I traded away Tajo Delclos, a damn good pitcher to Wilmington for a package that was headlined by O'Rogan...
And he pitched great for me the last half of the year after I brought him up. I even had the guy as my opening day starter... and he was basically the human embodiment of feces.

Damn I'm good.
Wilmington Wildcats- 2057- Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041 Washington Bats - 1979-2013
Two sims, two 2 - 4 efforts. Only 3 bats making contact in my lineup at this point. What's even scarier...there's practically nothing to look forward to in the minors.
Only one SP is performing up to his ratings (Andres Letonan...He's not Gugs, but he's carrying the rotation thus far.)
Hero SP A. Letonan
So far his performance has dulled the pain of having to give up Gugierrez.
Zero LF K. Cahill
Couldn't underperform more if he tried.
