  • 2026 Draft Discussion

    Here we go again!

I don't think Brad has chose an official start date but I wanted to get discussion going and point out a few things:

-Sully has the #1 pick and said he will be making his pick shortly. That means #2 California is on the clock and we will be untimed until the official draft date. NO PRESSURE to pick if you aren't ready. Last years first round we set records for speed so don't feel that if you haven't done the research you have to pick.

-I've only scouted this class for about 15 minutes so far but I'm finding the scouts DRAFT LIST almost worthless. There are a number of players at the top of his list that I don't think are top 50 picks, while there are tons of prospects my scout and OSA love, have great stats and are nowhere to be found.

-Double check your draft pick trades to make sure they have been entered in the utility correct!

-The vultures will be swirling. But if you are crazy enough to trade down from the top 10, Seattle, along with all the other veteran GMs, will be looking to move up.

California selects the number one player on our board...

          Efren 'Jet' Prestianni

Hopefully he'll be in the league two in two years to math the other young arms in our minors...

And hopefully next year's pick is not in the top 5!

Willing to entertain offers for 1.2. Open for business. Any deal has to include a first this year.

You're going to turn that pick into a bounty...

I have a trade for 1.2 lined up that might turn the league upside down. Not sure I should pull the string now. It might lead to a series of rule proposals and posts from Shark with hashtags in them.

So.... can we please stop annoying Sully so he can either pick or trade? Thanks.
Pat up yet? I’m sure everyone will be thrilled when he jumps to 1.2.

Lol. I'll decide here shortly. I've settled on a pick, but still weighing an offer.

Pick is in. We opted for 3b Pat Nunes.

A lot to like and dislike with this pick. He has some of the best ratings I've seen from an amature, and my scout agrees with what OSA sees. On the flip side, his intangibles are horrible and he has a lot of development left offensively and defensively.

Time will tell. Prestianni was our clear cut number 1. Nunes was our top hitter. There were some safer picks with lower ceilings just behind him, but if Nunes develops to anywhere near his potential ratings, we think he could be one of the best offensive players in the BLB.
