Prospects Roundtree and Sumski in the rotation and got a few starts in the second half. Didn't go well, but almost to be expected. Back to AAA for those two kids.

Lost Douglass for a good part of April, but thats ok. He's the old man of this group. Rest up kid.

Had alot of rotations going on and as a result our predictions fell off a bit. Its ok, we were projected to win 96 games last season and look how that turned out?

HTML says I'll win 71 and in-game it says 91. Well I guess this season can go either way!

So I think the game tries to protect your stars better in ST in 18.

I see that despite me requesting that CJ and Bruno start every other game, it seems that they each only started 6 or 7 games. They still got their AB, but the manager does a good job of using them sparingly. I'm also not sure what I'm going to do about this Sliney situation because he did not earn the starting spot in ST. Tom Fiano will be staring in RF to start the year.

Send him back to Maine. You pay 75% of the remaining salary.

Another major injury in Washington as starting CF Alexis Moran goes down for 4-5 months.

At least I don't have to get my hopes up for this season anymore. Can just sit back for the next few months.

Not in game, but some of those OSA ratings appear off the charts. Starting to live with the fact though its mostly hype a bit like real life. By the time these guys reach 23 its a little more tempered.

In-game I see a lot of guys that are only 16 or 17 in the draft pool.

Probably good enough to make Phoenix Opening Day roster.

Too talented. We can't tank with players like that.

So apparently TJ Surgery doesn't come without baggage.

Former SP Ron Chamberlain had TJ last year, out for 13 months. He's come back healthy didn't lose any velocity or ratings but his stamina is now 35 and our scout gives him a reliever blurb instead of starter. Sucks that it happened but still a nice little wrinkle in the game.

                              Seattle stuff:
                              -
Good sim for us finishing up Spring 17-13, 2nd in the Bock. Most encouraging performance coming from new 1B Ethan Broadbent who finished the exhibition: .414/1.270 and 20 RBI in 65 PA. He's got big shoes to fill and his defense will be a negative but exciting none the less.

-The most discouraging part of the spring was OF Jimmy Edge having a setback in recovery and only getting 11 ABs in Spring. With the new scheduling where minor leagues don't start the same time as BLB, I either have to start him VERY rusty this week or send him down to Triple-A, where he won't even seen game action until mid-April.

                              League stuff:
                              -
REMINDER! Anyone you are placing on your Opening Day roster make sure they are on your 40-man roster! Spring training roster additions don't get added here automatically. It really creates a ton of work for Brad and slows down the sim.

-Another REMINDER keep an eye on the waiver wire starting Friday. A lot of talent get sent through waivers this time of year.

-Keep an eye out for a BLB pod this week!
