Holy Kimura. I made a decent offer but nothing close. That's a lot of dough. Haven't seen in game, but assuming that buy out is still there after 4 years?

A few signings I really, really liked:

-Kimura (Maine) = I think this is more than fair value for the kid. If you look at the CFs currently in the BLB, it's pretty rare to find one that can hit and field. Kimura couldn't have signed with a team with a better park to fit his bat. He can field, run and he only turned 22 in September! I didn't really have a need in CF but still might end up regretting not going after this guy.

-Hatch (Batavia) = I'm shocked he didn't receive a better offer. This guy opted out of I think $8-$9M and got scooped up by Batavia on the cheap.

Liked this signing also. I also like the new scouting verbage basically telling us he's a great setup pitcher which is exactly what he is not a closer.

Pawtucket signs Regin 'Moondog' Baisden to a cheap deal, but gives us a nice lefty swing option for the staff. Nothing much to see, but he's had a useful career.

Whenever you see a young INTL prospect like that you can always count on teams going full on bank for them. Its like a free top 3 draft picks thats already developed. My hunch says he becomes a top 7 prospect instantly especially at CF.

I didn't feel comfortable withholding an opt-out but I managed to move it back a year.

Same here. Should have known to go big or go home.

Reminds me of Fujii. He's going to be a stud.

I've been trying to find a nickname for Kimura.

Given Fujii was "Big Stud," maybe Kimura could be "Little Stud."

I want to give Dave Bowne the nickname "Bone bone bone bone, bone, bone, bone, bone," but I think it would break the game.
