4-3 this week for the Brawlers with a big homestand coming up against Washington and Baltimore. Hope we can manage to stay above .500 by the end of that.

          Doing Denver things.

Can everyone just let Banuelos retire in a Denver uniform and not sign him this off-season.

          That'll be great. Thanks.

Pawtucket out of the cellar and Baldwin with a no hitter!! Nice.

We've actually not been playing bad ball since Allstar break, but I don't see a big run coming from this group especially with Kaufman out for the year. Hence, we made what I consider a major trade for the future trading Coady for three prospects that we expect to contribute for this rest of this decade. Two I even expect to see in 2026. Also frees about some more money for us to be minor players in free agency next offseason. Solid farm system....we should be ok.

Sometimes to take a two steps forward you need to take one step back.

I’ve been offering that guy a minor league deal for what seems like five straight off-seasons.

It's unfortunate because he always wants to get paid more than I think anyone wants to pay him. Already he's telling me that he wants $5 mm to come back. And he wants to come back.

But I don't have $5 mm and even if I did, I don't want to pay him $5 mm.

I think me and Banuelos have been working on one-year deals for 4 of the past 5 seasons. Ignore that weird 2024. Didn't happen. I despise New Orleans for even offering him a contract. And serves them right that Banuelos's knee felt the same way.

Still amazes me that Banuelos had what some could argue was his finest season at the age of 36. This from a guy that was always a good hitter so it's not as if it was a random season. But he looked to be declining in Maine / Pawtucket. He just needed some of that Denver loving.

Some asshole did that with Mason and I was really happy last season when I thought he was going to finish his career with us. Nope. He got signed so it REALLY backed fired since he "played for us" for a month , our fan interest almost crashed. My signing of him was not about fan interest cuz as we all know it really has no affect on your fans UNLESS your resign the guy. The point of it was to tip his cap to the fans.

On a completely different subject. I don't think I've seen a -79 zone rating on defense before. Wow.

6-1 for the Bulldogs despite Stripling being out, so I'll take that. We were carried by the strength of our pitching staff which posted a 1.48 team ERA this past sim.
Open your pocket books boys, because SP Alex Dominguez is ready to get paid again. The 31 year old Panamanian pitcher has given up just 1 ER in his last 6 starts, with 48 K and just 6 BB.

At the trade deadline, we got RP Ron Kleinman back and I'm glad to have him. He did well enough in his return and it is nice to have another guy who can come in sit guys down in tight games.

11 wins in a row and now a two game lead in the Bock. We are playing good ball all around but nothing is settled in the IL or division.

Five games left in the minors. Should be able to get into the playoffs at all three levels again. #ThingsThatOnlyMatterToMe

Also found one of my new favorite names... Denver’s Holden Pankey.
