Well... I blow my team up and go 4-2... In all fairness, it doesn't look like Kansas City is that strong of a club... and now my clubhouse is in such bad shape that Leonardis got injured throwing a tantrum after a loss... Babies!!

Only three of our 20 picks landed on my top 20 list of prospects... Not a good sign for a club that was in the bottom five of 'Top Systems'. The good news, is that pitchers CJ Bruno (#44) and Xavier Fears (#79) both debuted on the BLB's Top 100. Now if I could just revamp my minor league system with the new guys that, for the most part, are good character guys, maybe we slowly start to turn this thing around!

The prospect rankings like the new pitchers a hell of a lot more than the hitters.

Those were my thoughts exactly... I think it just takes a season, or two for the rankings to respect the newest draft... Which is probably more realistic anyway!

Hey, we didn't suck this week. Maybe if we string together another week or two like this one, we can back into the race.

Draftees Damewood and Borchers were listed among the ten best prospects in the draft according to the news item, but they barely make it in my organizational top 20, behind a couple of other guys from this draft. Whatever the OSA rankings say, I think this system is starting to look pretty good.

Another 4-2 week for the Brawlers taking 2 of 3 from Windy City and Seattle. Another game with Seattle, 3 with Denver, and then 2 with Windy City, all on the road, for the upcoming week. We'll see what we are made of that schedule. Chris Lemus was the Import League Player of the Week. Good news for the youngster. Tom Klotz suffered a setback with his sprained thumb but we had him on the 14 day DL so really didn't cost him any time. Jamie Urmison will be healthy in another 2 weeks and I hope with in the middle of the line up we can score more runs. My first pick, Brendan Matson, was the only one of my picks to make the Top 100 list but I think just about everyone from my draft is going to be a long term project if they are going to make something of themselves.

I noticed the same thing. I was quite happy with the guys we picked up in California, but my organizational Top 20 barely registered that I even drafted hitters. Hopefully it just takes a while for the ratings to take hold...

Minor league bloodbath begins in California... We cut 17 players today that were lazy, poor leaders, had high greed, or were just plain assholes... to be replaced by the 20 kids we drafted... Let's see where science experiment leads us!

1-2 DVS, 1-2 DAV / They are better teams than us right now, so no surprise.

                            But my minors, oh boy!
