    So...

I trade away every useable part not named Mike Morla, and...

We pick up three wins, with an offence that now scores runs, and a pitching staff that looks decentish, and...

Morla bats 0.464, with 3 bombs, and takes home player of the week...

    Huh?!

Always happens with trades. You go opposite least at first.

Pawtucket 3-4. Basically were slowly bleeding.

Our pitching is just too choppy to sustain any momentum. Might just let the CPU run things for a bit. Somtimes its best to keep the hands off the wheel when things make no sense.

On the plus side at least most guys seem happy. So there goes the moral theory.

Another 4-2 week for the Brawlers. Both losses were by 1 run. Looking to see how we hold up with a three game series against the Pilots on the road next week.

We really need a third baseman who can hit at a BLB level.

Otherwise we're playing good baseball and things are starting to come together.

5-1 for the week and a 3.5 game lead over the Tobs for now.

I tend to talk about OF CJ Stripling and 1B Bruno Damours quite a bit, however, the real key to our success so far this season has been the play of a couple of lesser known guys who keep teams honest when the stars need a rest.

Former Denver BC outfielder, Ian Thomas is making the most of his opportunities with a 1.007 OPS in 24 games played this year. We signed him to a minor league contract early in the season since we are still in financial hell and the payoff couldn't have been any better.

Rookie catcher, Ian Monge has also played well above expectations. We brought him in a trade from Maine because we needed a defensive catcher who could hit from the left side of the plate. Plus despite his questionable ratings, Ian has always played well in the minors and my scout thought he was a borderline AAAA with good defense. Now we all can see he's only started 7 games and has only 37 at-bats, but when I can get a hitter who gives me 13 hits and a 1.202 OPS in those 37 at-bats, you will not see me complain.

We lost another pitcher to injury this past sim. This time it was 25 year old, RP Kiyotake Inouye. What's interesting to note is that Inouye hurt himself at almost the same point last year and he'll be a blow to an already depleted bullpen that lost, RP Geoff Marlor to a torn tricep muscle on 5/28. We keep trying to plug and play but at some point we may have to look to trade to make sure we stay efficient in the back half of games.

Nice rebound sim after I Jake'd it to a 1-5 record last week. 5-2, 3 games up in the Ale. Ryan is like 50 games back.

That's not fair. Ryan is not even trying.

It's all fairness... I'm not sure he tried the two years he won either!
