    Next Sim: Sunday

Seems like ST is good for knocking out one superstar per season. Tough loss for Los Alamos.

Probably the one person they couldn't afford to lose. Long season ahead.

Good showing from quite a few players playing for roster spots in Wilmington. We'll give them a longer look this next sim.

      Ya know...
I don't piss anyone off, I keep to myself, I export regularly...
and what do I get for it?

I just hope there are no lasting effects from this. I made moves to win last year and I'm paying for it now...

Clint Lance is done for the rest of Spring Training. Oh well.

We got the lefty we needed in the pen with Frahill returning to Carolina. It's a decent bit of money, but it's only a one year deal so not a huge issue for our finances.

                8-4 sim

                The Good
-Beat my entire division. Virginia 3-2, Wilmington 7-2 and Morgantown 14-3. I know it is only Spring Training, but I'll take it.
-My two old aces. Combined for 16 scoreless innings.
-Second year LF Oscaur Paulet continued where he left off last season. He hit .300 with a .936 OPS including two doubles, a triple, two homers, seven RBI and eight runs.

                The Bad
-SS Jack Dynes will be out 6-7 weeks. Formerly Pete Summers and Brody Whiteley were going to platoon at 3B. Now, Summers will start at SS and Whitely at 3B.
-CF Dan Hogan and RF Michio Nago combined to hit 16/77.
-MR Yuan-zhang Chiu has been on the DL seven months with a fractured elbow. WHILE STILL ON THE DL, had his appendix removed and will be out five more weeks.

                The Best

Signed Roy Sizer! Bing and Sizer now make $15 mil combined but will both start in the OF and will help us both offensively and defensively.

8-4 start so far in spring training. Thats nearly as many wins as they had last season.

Jimmy O'Loughlin showing up huge with 12 IP, no runs allowed.
                    #1 Prospect Victor Gonzalez hit .370 with 5 2B, 2 3B and a HR.

                    Most importantly no injuries.

That sucks. Especially considering that you really haven't overworked him. When you look at some of these cats who have thrown 240+ innings for 5 straight years. Sucks.

I think this kid is an absolute STUD. I think he may be the next Keppel.

Yeah, I know I had him as the top player on my board that year and I just missed him. As I recall a couple of pitchers went 1 & 2 and then Mahoney picked him right in front of me, commenting that he wanted to go with a pithcer but decided to settle for Gonzalez.

Yeah... 4 in fact... Stevens, Gonzalez, Graham and Carillo went 1-4... "Slider" went #5... and I got Yortoki Maeda at #6.... Had "Slider" as #1 on my board, but Maeda is still grading out well to be my 3B of the future.

I had Gonzalez as the #1 player in the draft IIRC and by quite a bit, neither pitcher that year blew me away. Lets see if I dig up that info.

I remember now, I had #7 and picked Doug Day, whom I eventually traded before he took one of those talent dumps and became worthless.
