Another sim... another confounding set of decisions by my manager... My left fielder gets hurt and he puts my DWI 3B in left field and outs my back up third baseman in at third... leading to six unearned runs on two errors at third?! In the same game he leaves Scooter Nackers (great name, by the way) in for far too long (again...) and he is allowed to watch 7 runs cross the plate!

If it wasn't for the stupid relationship feature (I think) and him seeming to be on a positive relationship with some guys on this team... he'd be out!

Oh yeah... another six week injury to a core player... running the @#@#% bases!!!!! Perhaps the BLB needs to look at the kind of bases we use... The number of players hurt this way seems exceedingly high.

It also continues to happen to players that rest a lot or play DH... Frustrating!

So... my vote continues to be no for increased injury settings...

Pawtucket 4-2. Decent week. Kaufman being cold to start the season is a bit of a concern. A top pitcher not being able to work out of the 4th inning usually spells an injury coming up. Just a feeling.

How about those Lynn Patriots going 7-0!!!!! Only have one or two guys I expect to see this coming season in the BLB, but Erik 'Genghis Khan' Marrella is a guy we are watching closely. He projects to be our future closer, but something tells me by June he may get called up and could be possible work out of the set-up role with his stamina perhaps even 2 innings? Elliot is another one we will be watching. 2B Hau as an IF injury replacement/ matchup call-up. We've had deeper AAA teams (aka AAAA), but feel good about the pace of our pipeline right now. Can't have everyone ready.

We keep rolling along, led by the hot hitting of *squints* Mat Adolph? We'll probably win the Brewmasters. No big deal.

Week in Review 6-0 (3-0 @ Montreal, 3-0 vs Miami)

              - Another great week for our pitching staff with Dan Bradford leading the way. Bradford was 2-0 and only allowed 2 runs in 17 IP. Cawley with 8.1 shuthout innings vs Miami and struck out 10.

              - CJ Viger won player of the week batting .565 with 4 HR.

              - Rookie 1B Dave Hodge continued his hot start, batting .455 with another 2 HR. He had 9 hits in 3 games vs Miami.

Looking Ahead (3 vs Indy, 4 vs Montreal)

              -
CF Garret Antcliff has gotten off to a slow start after a red hot spring training. He will likely get moved down in the order vs RHP giving the rookie more time to acclimate himself to facing BLB pitchers.

It's nice to see Bradford get some offence! He could win 25 games with your squad... The guy's a beast!

2-3 in our restful week. Jalen Lafargue is doing his best to single-handedly destroy the team ERA. He's faced 9 batters so far. 8 of them have reached base. They're 6/7 with 3 doubles and 2 HRs and 2 walks. A terrible start for a guy who's been an average reliever.

Not much else notable this week. The lineup was pretty uninspiring and a couple of awful pitching performances brought us down.

That's surprising. I love playing Carolina.

A 4-2 week for the Brawlers. I know it won't last but I do love the rarefied air at the top of the rankings. Don't think I've ever been here before but the view is nice.

I couldn't help but think of the line from Moneyball about Youkillis (the Greek god of walks) when I saw Zach Bradley's line from the first week of the season. 13 walks in a week is crazy!

Made a few more roster tweaks in effort to improve morale. It’s amazing how many slacker/selfish players I have on this roster.
