Denver had a lot of offense in ST and some average pitching. About what I expect during the year.

Hoping it translates to enough wins.

We took a beating with fan interest with the departure of free agents! All the way down to a 74. It's almost not worth signing guys that are popular unless you know for sure that you are keeping them long term. No bump when they sign, but a massive drop off when they leave... even if they stink!

Still going to be a rebuilding year- a few prospects are knocking at the door at AAA (McCormick/Wright/Bickford will all start the year there).

        Trust the process

Been thru this before. Pawtucket went from 100-70 in an instant few years back. Last year I made a popular player trade for a first place team and STILL not no bump. Really don't like this part of the version change.

The problem is that this version only seems to apply fan interest negatively when it comes to popular players coming or going... The only way to increase it is just win! Which in a market with loyal fans should mean less.

Again, thats not realistic. Cubs were a draw every season despite sucking for ...oh awhile. Getting past all that, if your a good team, your winning and you trade a popular less productive player for a popular MORE productive player...should go up NOT down which last year when I traded Baldwin for Zach Cook.

Calling it as I see it, its stupid.

I'm probably over venting cuz when you take cash/ projected budget deficits league wide an amazing 15 teams are projects to be in RED next season. This isn't at all 100% accurate since teams will grow or shrink accordingly as the season goes. Getting fans in the seats and to pay for shirts and jock straps is a big part of it.

If this an actual real world sports league most would view or revenue growth as poor at best.

We ended ST well, going 11-4 to close out it out. This likely had to do with the fact that we were pretty much at full strength in the second half of ST, something that we do not normally do, while everyone else was resting and trying to avoid injuries.

I complained about not seeing any improvement on the squad earlier but looking at the ST stats, I do believe that there was some improvement, particularly with Bruno Damours who hit 5 home runs in the second half, as well as Storm Johnson who lead the team in walks during ST.

If I had to pick one guy who could have a surprise breakout season on our squad, it would be infielder, Jerrod Baker. His sophomore season was cut short by a string of unfortunate injuries but he showed a lot of promise in the short time he was on the field. As a professional, the 2x HS Batter of the Year has never really shown th power he displayed at the high school level, but I’ve got a feeling that if he can stay healthy, he can make a significant impact in our quest to make the playoffs this year.

Good pick for a breakout candidate.

In Seattle, I wouldn't call him a surprise breakout candidate but a big reason why I felt comfortable in trading SS CJ McNichol is 24-year-old SS Parker Holderman. He will probably never be the hitter McNichol was vs. RHP, but he has the ratings to play both ways (unlike McNichol) and should be a the superior fielder at SS. Most importantly, my team has been starved for some speed on the bases and he has 80 career SB (Minors and College) with 32 CS. Last year we were near the bottom of the entire BLB in SB and relied on the HR way too much.

My breakout candidate however is C Garrett Batchelor. I was a bit surprised to see him cut by Death Valley after they acquired him for a 2nd round pick mid-2022 from Dallas. The former top 40 prospect will be a negative behind the plate but he's only 25 and was great at the plate in Spring Training. The departure of veteran Norm Deiwert has oppened up reps at the catcher position and Batchelor gets first crack vs. RHSP. He will platoon with another 25-year-old Tate Hanson. According to OSA, the two rate a 65 eye as a platoon. Hopefully they can combine for a decent WAR.

Batchelor was a bust. He got more than enough chances. I probably should have known better.
