Also I think a Tools guy could be more of a boom/bust guy while an ability guy is more likely to hit .275/15/80 consistantly.

I guess Markus lives in a different world than you and I do. I also thought that when a pitcher has "good stuff", it means there is a lot of movement on his pitches. Oviously Markus sees it differently.

        • I never did figure out how a German, who lives in Germany would be the guy to end up making the best selling baseball simulation.

You may be in luck... he may be the most accurate on a wide range of players... and not be shaded by his leanings towards ability or tools.

Mine is neutral too. I still think the scout's ability and scouting budget are much more important.

                  • This is definitely different. I like the fact that their is player development going on along with unmasking. Its going to make it even better when you do see the guy become the player your scout expected him to be. Although, I do foresee some frustration if someone's scout is wrong. I wasn't pointing directly at you, Clay.

Stop dreaming Clay. Everybody knows you are going to rush him just like you did Magness and the booming bats in your division will destroy the kid's confidence. Best case, a solid spot starter/mopup man.

                      • Even in the old system, I've had two scouts rated 80 at hitting be wrong about a guy. Plus IMO this game has always had players play above of below ratings.

To me ratings are only one factor. In the big leagues, production trumps ratings to me. Obviously in a draft though, it's all we got.

                          • Does anyone know what the deal is with Batavia? I understood that he was on vacation but left a list.

                            • Did he?

And I thought Matt returned? He posted a file for the BLB according to the tracker since Tuesday's sim. He lives out in Vegas though, right?

And he's a police officer if I'm not mistaken so he's probably at work...

                              • The autopick by list feature doesn't seem to be working very well. Not sure if it's because I picked manually for the team before him or not.
