    • Hey, second round coming up, I'll finally be able to jump into the fray. Kinda glad I traded my 1st and 2nd pick this year.

        I picked.

Anyone willing to move down in round 2 let me know. In exchange for swapping 2nd rounders I have a few guys I'm looking to move. I could either trade one of them or if the pick is high enough possibly my 3rd rounder.

        • Coming from someone who was really looking forward to the change to one scout drafting.... this is crazy. I won't repeat what everyone else said, but it all applies. And another thing to think about is the MLB draft is 60+ rounds, ours is 10. So sure, one MLB scout will see a guy as a first rounder and another will see him as a third, even without taking money into consideration. But that's not that huge of a difference when the player pool each year is so large. Ours is only 10 rounds, so first to third is a big difference. And we're talking about examples where top guys are getting graded as non drafted scrubs.

I hope so... 2nd best hitter on my board behind that C that Cali got. Scout has his at 8-8-8-7-5 and calls him "an elite hitter". With no real 1B prospect in my low minors, easy pick for me here.

            • Some recent picks....

              - Adrian Diaz - Scout describes as "future Hall of Fame reliever"

              - Raul Marin - Top 5 hitter on my board

              - Shumkichi Kiyomizu - Text book Maine draftee... does everything average to above average... hits... runs... plays multiple positions

              - Jerry Ferrell - Scouts sees him as at least a #2/3 caliber starter in the future. Good value in the 2nd.

              • I was actually hoping Diaz would fall to me. My scout thinks Diaz is pretty much ready for the BLB and I needed bullpen help.

same ratings from my scout. hard to pass up on him, but I need some bats in the OF, and of course, 1b is blocked for the near future. I was a little hesitant to pick up Orinosuke b/c he's 20 and doesn't seem to be that far a long in development. but great upside none the less.

                        • Hey, I'm not sure if anyone knew this, but you can ask your scouting director for a mock draft list on the draft list page. I asked my scout how he felt the draft order should look and he picked 14 of the top 24 picks. Three of whom he got right on the money, including Hobson, Herrera, and Stephens.
