  • Scouting Budgets

I notice that my in-game scouting budget automatically resets to $1,250,000 no matter what I set it to, while every other team is listed with a scouting budget of $2,500,000. My scouting page states "with a negative projected balance, the scouting budget must be half the league average"

This makes little sense since my projected balance is around $7 million - $17 million starting balance less $10 million of negative budget room.

You're reading it wrong... it's negative projected budget... not balance.

Same thing screwed me over. But at least we're in the same boat.

So is there something that can be done about this? I've got $7 million left for FA signings and $9 million lefr for extensions but I am not allowed to spend it on scouting? That makes no sense at all.

So if I'm reading this right, if you are projected to lose money this year, regardless of what you have in cash, your budget will be 1/2 the league average and there's no way to change that.

That's rather odd, but I can see where they're coming from. If your owners losing money, they probably won't increase the scouting budget. Seems weird to force this on us though and not give the commish a check box somewhere.

So we're all going to have a scouting budget of $1.25M??

Mine isn't. I set mine to $1.5 and it took it.

I don't have the game in front of me, but I think mine was at 2.5 as well.
