  • SIM COMPLETE - 1979 - Sim 18

HUGE sim for Maine. I swept Pawtucket, then took 2/3 from Sin City. Meanwhile Pawtucket has lost 7 straight and I have a 4 game lead.

Dante Geake is 5-0 since I moved him to the rotation, only allowing 7 ER in 5 starts.

Jon Cleary's save streak is still alive and well, currently at 65.

    Happy Turkey Day

    Question of the day:

What will the Whale eat for Thanksgiving in Bahrain?

  • #2
Went 4-2 (like usual), and now only 1 game back from Los Lunas (those bastards!).

My new pickups went 3-0 in 3 starts giving up 1 earned run in 24 innings pitched.

Lost both 1 run games though... so I gotta shore up that bullpen now.

    No turkeys in Bahrain?

When I was in Bahrain, I didn't SEE any turkeys, but, I sure did eat Turkey on Thanksgiving. I have no idea where your going with that question, andrew.

The JAvelinas struggled, and went 3-4. G. Lippincott is still on the shelf, and, last years DLAAA player of the year, L. Carrilo has finally been brought up to the majors. Look for this kid to destoy Domestic League pitching!

Guardamangi is 14-3, but it looks like Dean is running away with the Domestic League Cy Young.

Sergio Lumar is on a tear, hitting .500 with a .536 OBP last week. Combined with 2 HR's and 4 2B's. He had 8 RBI's and an amazing 1.420 OPS.

But, something needs to be fixed in Los Lunas. After an amazing June, where we went 19-9, we have just 21 wins versus 17 losses, and now only a 1 game lead.

One final note: The Los Lunas Javelinas are almost selling out every game, which proves that winning DOES matter to the Javelinas loyal fans!

I'm glad my cast-offs could help you. :)

Actually, Geake was my first (and only) lesson in learning if you let a guy go to free agency they won't talk to you. I was hoping I'd get him at a bettter deal than I wanted to offer but that didn't work when he wouldn't even accept my offers!

Split four games with California then lost 2 of 3 to Windy City but it was good enough to maintain our 3 1/2 game lead. I owe you one, Wilmington.

Two wins last week for John Crittal including 1-0 in our only win over Windy City. He really bailed us out in a week when our aces faltered a bit.

Talk about a reversal of fortune. Great week for the 'Cats. We go from 2.5 down, to 2.5 up. :D

BASTARD! The least you could've done was split with me

I even beat mighty LaRochelle and still gain no ground on the leader. If I have the third best record in baseball right now, and I may not make the playoffs.

                  Woe is me.......

I think that was the best week for me, 5-1. Took 2/3 from Los Alamos, then 3 straight from Philadelphia. 7 games over .500 now, but it's probably too late to make a serious run.

Al Jahar El Sahif Madden actually is going to cook us up a TurkLamben. I called a leg!
